The redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital has been approved following a review of the New Hospitals Programme.

The redevelopment will allow us to create a state-of-the-art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare. A new Hillingdon Hospital will be a digitally enhanced building which is sustainable and fit for the future.

We want to thank our staff, partners, and the local community for their continued support and patience as we’ve worked tirelessly to reach this point. Your contributions and dedication have been invaluable. We will work with our partners across the health and social care system to improve the integration of care across the borough and beyond.

Theatres staff brought in home-cooked dishes from across the world this week to share.

As well as British dishes there was also food from Poland, India, The Philippines, Pakistan, Egypt, Peru and South Africa.

What a great opportunity for a bit of team bonding and to show off cooking skills!

This autumn, primary and secondary school-aged children are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine. Schools will be sending out invites and consent forms in the coming weeks so look out for this.

Flu can be very serious during pregnancy. Vaccination is encouraged because it:

🔹 Reduces risk of serious complications
🔹 Passes protection on to the newborn
🔹 Reduces risk of passing infection on to the baby.
