Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Linda and I’m a mentored birth and postnatal doula working on the IoW and mainland. I am 42, married and have four children including one that has already flown the nest. We also have a crazy dog. You may ask yourself where the scandinavian twist comes from? My f

amily and i lived in Northern Norway for a long time – the land of the northern lights,reindeers, elgs, trolls…and brun ost.Two of my children were born there and because of the wonderful midwives who supported me through my births ,my desire to support others grew. Supporting friends during birth and postnatally was always my kind of “thing” but in Norway I really began to feel I should finally follow my passion. Apparently someone was listening and my husband was offered the position as a Head Chef on the IoW and so we moved to the UK. Once here I discovered Doula UK and Maddie McMahon from Developing Doulas and luckily she accepted me onto her course (July 2016) so I could learn with her. I had my first official doula client soon after and you can imagine my feelings; this honour,this trust in me…it was brilliant,fantastic! I really love what I do and I happily give this love and passion and all my energy to whoever needs it. Apart from this i love to cook,(for you too),i love music, I like art and i am interested in people,to hear their stories,to get to know them.Gentle parenting is my family motto and I love animals which is something my dog would certainly agree with. I’m a trained store manager,florist,Head Housekeeper,part time barista and PA – I could run your whole household if you wished me to .My DBS checks are always up to date since I volunteer in our local hospital and I am also able to give you references from previous clients.
