DON'T DIY!
The lack of NHS provision for ear wax removal has resulted in many people attempting to clear their ears themselves. This is a dangerous practise as the ear canal and eardrum can be easily damaged. Please don't use cotton buds, paper clips, car keys or any other object to clear your ears - you may do permanent damage.
The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID)have slammed the situation, saying it’s “absolutely wrong” that people are being left in silence or pain due to something as fixable as ear wax. One local joked, “I can hear my dog snore but not my wife’s dinner plans — maybe that’s a blessing?”
WE CAN HELP... we offer safe, comfortable ear wax removal procedures by fully trained and insured hearing healthcare professionals. Call us today on 01202 985500 to book an appointment.

We are happy to support Tinnitus Awareness Week.
Tinnitus is unique to the person experiencing it. But ultimately it is the sensation of hearing a sound when there is no external source for that sound. Someone with tinnitus may hear ringing, buzzing, hissing, whistling or other noises. Tinnitus can be there all the time or come and go. The volume of someone’s tinnitus can vary from one episode to the next.
Often Tinnitus is associated with a hearing loss. If you feel you may have tinnitus or a hearing loss call us on 01202 985500 to arrange a free consultation.

By looking after our hearing we're looking after our brain
Our hearing is connected to a lot of processes in our brain, including our memory. If you lose your hearing, the auditory processing areas of the brain may start to reorganise, making it harder for us to listen and commit information to long term memory. We offer a free hearing assessment to anyone who has concerns about their hearing. Call us on 01202 985500 to arrange an appointment.

How to prepare for a hearing test?

Whether it’s your first test or a follow-up, preparation can help you get the most out of your appointment.

•Bring a friend or family member with you; They can provide support, ask questions, and help you process information.

•Ask as many questions as needed: no question is too silly

•Expect results on the same day: unlike other health services where you may have to wait for results, we will go through your results with you.

Interested in booking a hearing test? Contact us on 01202 985500.
