✨Spreading Christmas Cheer✨

Today our residents were delighted by a lovely visit from students at Magna Carta School. They treated us to beautiful Christmas songs and carols, and everyone had a wonderful time singing along and soaking up the festive spirit.

Thank you so much to the students and staff for such a joyful visit and for getting everyone well and truly into the Christmas spirit! 🎶🎅🎄

Today we were delighted to welcome the lovely Louise, who visited us to give a wonderful talk about the true wonders of Christmas 🎄✨

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the time together, listening, reminiscing, and sharing in the festive spirit. We ended the visit on a high note by singing some traditional Christmas songs, filling the room with smiles and cheer 🎶

🎉 A Very Special Milestone! 🎉

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a truly incredible moment — our lovely resident Betty’s 100th birthday! 🥳💖

Surrounded by smiles, laughter, and lots of love, Betty enjoyed a day filled with celebration as we honoured a century of memories, stories, and strength. It was an honour to share such a meaningful occasion with her and make the day as special as she is.

Happy 100th Birthday, Betty — you are an inspiration to us all! 💐💯✨

🎉 A Very Special Celebration! 🎉
This week we had the absolute joy of helping our lovely resident Phoebe celebrate her 101st birthday! 💐✨

We all gathered together to sing her a heartfelt Happy Birthday, and the room was filled with smiles, music, and so much love. Afterwards, Phoebe enjoyed a beautiful (and delicious!) cake lovingly made by Liuda. 🎂❤️

Here’s to Phoebe — a remarkable lady with a remarkable life. Cheers to 101 years! 🥂

🎄 Christmas Jumper Day Fun! 🎄

Today we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day and raised money for Save the Children UK ❤️ Thank you so much to everyone who donated and took part — your generosity and festive spirit made the day truly special.

We also held our annual Christmas Jumper Competition, judged by our wonderful residents… and here are the results!

🥇 1st Prize: Donna, who wowed everyone dressed as a cheerful Elf!
🥈 2nd Prize: Pauline, rocking a fabulously festive Grinch jumper!
🥉 3rd Prize: Simona, another brilliant Elf spreading Christmas cheer!

A huge well-done to our winners and a massive thank-you to everyone who joined in. Your support helps make a real difference. 💚❤️

✨ A Fantastic Morning Exploring Finland! 🇫🇮❄️

Today Andrea delivered an in-depth and engaging talk all about Finland. Residents even got to try some delicious Finnish sweet jellies — a real treat! 🍬

We also had some lovely audience participation from a visiting family member who came along to show off her festive Christmas outfit, adding even more cheer to the morning. 🎄✨

To finish, everyone enjoyed looking through some stunning photos of beautiful Lapland.
It was a wonderful morning enjoyed by all.

🎄✨ A Heart-Warming Christmas Treat! ✨🎄

Today our residents were delighted by a very special visit from the local infant school Trumps Green. The children gathered around our Christmas tree and filled our home with the sweetest Christmas carols — it truly brought smiles to everyone’s faces! ❤️

To make the moment even more magical, the children surprised us with a beautiful handmade Christmas card. Their kindness and festive spirit touched us all.

A huge thank you to the wonderful little singers and their amazing teachers for making today so memorable. 🌟🎶

✨ Christmas Magic Has Arrived! ✨
Today we officially switched on the Christmas lights on our main tree, and it was a truly joyful moment. 🎄

Our residents gathered together to enjoy delicious mince pies and warming mulled wine before joining in a sing-along of traditional Christmas songs. The smiles, laughter, and community spirit made it a wonderful start to the festive season.

Our residents had an absolutely wonderful time today enjoying a good old-fashioned sing-along with one of our favourite entertainers, Mr. Alan Poulton!

The room was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of happy voices joining in. Thank you, Alan, for bringing so much joy and energy to our home — we always look forward to your visits! 💛
