🇫🇷 From France with Love, Jean’s Story 🇫🇷

Today we had the joy of hearing from our teammate Jean, who shared what makes his home country of France so close to his heart. And for Jean, it all comes down to two things: family and food.

“Some of my best memories are simple moments.
Sitting around the table with my family, sharing a good meal, laughing, and just enjoying each other’s company,” Jean told us.

He spoke with pride about the French tradition of slow, meaningful meals.
Not just eating, but connecting. Whether it’s a Sunday lunch that stretches into the afternoon or a casual dinner with fresh bread, cheese, and wine, every meal is a celebration of togetherness.

Jean reminded us that no matter where we’re from, taking time for the people we love is what truly matters.

Our Residents then enjoyed a delicious French lunch.

🎈 Balloon Tennis:
Managers vs Residents 🎾
The battle was on, the balloons were flying, and the competition was fierce, but once again, the managers claimed victory!

Our amazing residents put up a great fight and brought their A-game (and plenty of laughs), but the managers held their ground and kept the winning streak alive.

Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun — next match is on 23rd July. Maybe the residents will take the crown then… maybe!

What a perfect day for a riverside adventure!
Our residents made the most of the hottest day of the year yesterday with a lovely trip to the river, watching the boats pass through the lock.
A peaceful and fascinating sight!

Of course, no summer outing would be complete without a refreshing ice cream in hand 🍦

We were extremely proud to sponsor the donkey rides at the Otthershaw Village Fete on Saturday. A brilliant time was had by all and there were queues all day for a ride. Lovely to give back to our local community.

🌞 Beautiful Weather + Green Thumbs = Happy Residents! 🌿

Our residents have been soaking up the sunshine and making the most of the beautiful weather in our community garden!
With our brand-new raised planters, they’re getting involved - planting flowers, herbs, and veggies while enjoying some fresh air and good company.
There’s something truly special about watching our community grow both in spirit and in soil. 🌱💚

We had such a lovely time at our tea party! ☕🍰 Delicious sandwiches, delightful cakes, and the wonderful voice of singer Amy made it a truly special afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came and made it so memorable! 💐🎶
