Paramedics can work in different areas of the NHS but all share a core qualification in emergency care.

A Paramedic in a GP surgery is highly trained in assessing and managing many of the problems that patients need urgent help with. So, you may be referred to one of our Paramedics if you have a minor injury, acute illness or worsening symptoms of an existing condition.

Here at our practice, our Paramedics are all members of a wider multidisciplinary healthcare team, working alongside your GP.

It will always be your choice who you see. But being referred to another member of our team means you’ll still be cared for by someone with the right expertise for your condition, and usually quicker than waiting to see a GP!
