Real Client Results ✨

Our wonderful patient came to us with breakout and skin texture concerns. After a detailed medical skin consultation with Registered Nurse Hollie, we created a bespoke treatment plan, starting with at home skincare. This focused on calming inflammation, restoring the skin barrier and preparing her skin for professional treatments.

Once her skin was in a healthier place, we began a course of chemical peels. We often recommend chemical peels for our acne patients are they:

• help to regulate oil production and reduce congestion.

• encourage cell turnover, which smooths texture and fades post-inflammatory marks.

• create a clearer, healthier environment for the skin by reducing acne-causing bacteria.

• enhance absorption of active ingredients from home care products.

With consistency and commitment, this patient achieved beautiful progress. She will now move onto a tailored maintenance plan to keep her skin balanced and glowing.

Introducing Laura – Our Aesthetic & Skin Specialist Nurse Prescriber 🤍

We’re so pleased to welcome Laura to the team. She is a Registered Nurse Prescriber with over 16 years of experience across a range of specialties, including oncology, theatre nursing, cosmetic surgery, and aesthetic medicine. Laura brings a calm, caring presence and a wealth of knowledge to her work.

Since settling in Cornwall in 2011, she has worked alongside leading Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Consultants in the South West, where her passion for aesthetic medicine and skin health has continued to grow.

Laura specialises in injectable and skin health treatments, with a focus on facial and skin rejuvenation. She blends clinical expertise with our advanced technologies and treatment protocols to support healthy, natural-looking results. From softening fine lines and restoring volume to improving skin texture and overall skin health, her approach is always thoughtful, gentle, and tailored to each client’s needs.

She holds advanced training in botulinum toxin with Cosmetic Courses London, is fully certified in Profhilo, polynucleotides, and all of our advanced skin health treatments here at Balance. Laura has also completed specialist training in aesthetic complication management.

Laura believes in a holistic approach to skin health — looking at the whole person, not just one concern — and creates a welcoming space where clients feel understood, supported, and safe.
