MBD YOGA CLASSES

A mixed Hatha, Slow Flow and Vinyasa yoga class with a blend of flowing movements, dynamic postures, breathing techniques and tension-releasing stretches. Students are guided to honour their own needs, in every sense, in each lesson. Great for stamina, toning, flexibility, soothing the nervous system, stimulating physiological systems (yep, all of them!) focus, healing and releasing what isn’t serving you. Classes vary from week to week depending on the energy, moon phase and general feeling of students on the day. Basic and advanced options given and all students are held in a safe and welcoming space to be fully themselves. Powerful stuff. I love it!

This will be a beautiful and powerful event with a blend of gentle yoga asanas and movement to shift tension and energy that isn’t serving you. Lisa will guide you through some free flowing movement and held positions for each of the seven chakras while sound bowls, vibrating at specific frequencies for each chakra, are played by Kelly. We will then with lay down for deep conscious rest and a sound bath. We will finish with a healing meditation.

YIN YOGA CLASS - SUNDAY 15th JUNE 10am - limited places - £15

Suitable for anyone with tension in their body!
Yin yoga is a simple yet profound method of yoga:
- deeply nourishing
- supporting joint mobility
- hydrates the connective tissue on the fascial level counteracting aging and creating longevity
- manipulates the meridians so the prana (the vital life force) can flow freely
- Yin will help to reduce physical tension, stress levels and will aid sleep

In Yin we tend to hold passive, tension free, positions for 3-5 minutes allowing the body to settle fully into each asana. Props and modifications are used for each one of us for our individual practices and to suit our bodies. It’s a beautiful practice for gentle meditative self enquiry as you get to know your anatomical body better and what it needs and your mind-body connection will increase along with its awareness. We will end with a relaxing shavasana aand a stillness meditation to ground and quieten the mind.

POWER HOUR
The Ultimate mind and body gift: Build stamina, strength and stillness in the mind.

30 minutes of a mix of cardio and conditioning workout (think HIIT- style Bodyballet) with a focus on alignment and deep core muscles followed by 30 minutes of restorative Yoga.

The class will run Fridays 9.30-10.30am at the MBD Studio with Lisa.

I am starting with a 4-week trial with the intention to continue weekly during term time. To sign up for this 4-week trial please click the payment link below or email back with any questions. Limited places

I'm really excited about this new class, based on my own personal workouts which keep me teaching-fit, heart-healthy, mind-soothed and prevents muscle mass and bone density from decreasing, I believe this will be a great class for many of you.
