✨ Wow… last week was one of the most incredible weeks of my year so far. It ended with a gorgeous retreat to Wales but began with a photoshoot for my wonderful Norse Sister Jenny from Moonlight Lady 1111

What I love about this kind of photography is the c***ection I get to experience not just with the people I work with but with land and spirit too. I also love creating safe spaces for people to feel confident in front of the lens, to express their authenticity and beauty, and to let their magic shine through.

It was such an honour to capture Jenny in all her wisdom and power, watching her explore and embrace different parts of herself. You can feel the shift in energy when she put on her black witchy dress and began working with the smoke, it was absolutely electric to witness and capture!

The whole process was healing for me too, as I let the land and spirit guide the camera… and the healing continued when I saw Jenny again just two days later for a healing session like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I swear the magical energy is still working on me! ✨

Thank you Jenny, for trusting me to hold that space for you and sharing your magic with me. I can’t wait to create even more magic together. 🌙

✨ New blog just landed:

“Is There a Healing Temple Hidden Under Ripon Cathedral?” 👀

I spent the day with the wonderful Shanon from Wish's Art last Friday, chanting in an ancient underground chapel, talking with trees, and singing to ancient stones, basically doing all things delightfully heathen and quite possibly annoying the ghost of a medieval Archbishop (HURRAH).

Thank you Shannon for letting me photograph you in all your radiance, for sharing your wisdom with me, and for also very patiently put up with a lot of spontaneous chanting, humming, and general witchery (Check the blog to hear the kinds of sounds she graciously endured 😅)

Since our trip to Ripon Cathedral and the 7 Sisters stone site, I've felt lighter, more grounded, and more ME. It's got me to thinking, what if these sacred spaces amplify not just fear (as they were once perhaps used for), but also healing? What if they were in fact once used as portals for joy, release, and remembering?

🌿 Ever sung songs to a spring, cried under trees, laughed until your belly ached, and left the woods feeling like the Earth has just revealed it's deepest secrets with you? 🌿

This is what I experienced this week and which I've written about in my latest blog, of a journey to a sacred spring in Wakefield (honestly, the magic that's woven into my life since I've started researching and visiting ancient springs!), as well as the magic that happens when you feel safe enough to really be yourself in front of others ❤️

I am so grateful to all the women who have fully embraced and accepted me as I am throughout my life, who have witnessed me, celebrated me, held me, and reminded me that being me is more than enough. You know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. On Tuesday I was lucky enough to spend the day with three of these women, three absolute Queens and power-vessels of beauty and wisdom, who have completely changed my world.

I just want to say a special thank you to Sri Matreswari from Simply Spiritual Healing for snapping a few pictures of me in my absolute element, even if I do look like I’m wearing pyjamas😄 I don't often get chance to be on the other side of the lens, so thank you! The other incredible women in these pictures are Simire from Nionga, Nioka Nsimire Afrikan yoga and Andrea from Magdalene Frequency Oils - I totally recommend you check out their amazing offerings!

Here's a little snippet:

"To worship the Waters feels so natural to me. To sing, to kneel, to offer my joy. There is a longing in me, not to take from her, but to merge with her. To honour the land in this way is also an act of seeking, a seeking to c***ect to my ancestors, the ancient nature tribes of Europe and Britain. It feels to me these people saw Water as a tangible expression of the Spirit that flows through and gives life to all things."

Also...there’s something so healing about being witnessed in your full expression while held in nature and in sisterhood. I love capturing the beauty of these moments through the lens.

I’ve been dreaming into the idea of offering photoshoot retreat days, gentle, heart-led spaces for women in business, creatives, or simply those feeling called to rec***ect with themselves and express their truth in front of the camera.

If this speaks to something in you, please do reach out or leave a comment below!

✨ A Little Evolution ✨

When I went freelance last year, I chose the name Amy Charles Holistics to deliver my work, rooted in my background in wellbeing and a desire to support others in meaningful ways.

But over the past few months something has been quietly growing…
A creative rhythm.
A pull toward writing, image-making, and storytelling.
Toward creating for the sake of joy, c***ection, and expression.

I’ve decided it’s time for my name to reflect and align with that, so I’m now Amy Charles Creative!

I will no longer be offering 1:1 sessions, my focus going forward will be on creative group workshops, photography, and diving deeper into my writing.

Although my work hasn’t changed at its core, it’s still about creating spaces that nourish and inspire, I’m just embracing the creative thread that’s been running through it all along!

For anyone who has booked onto my upcoming workshops, I will still be using my amycharlesholistics email for the time being, so you can still reach me on there if that's how we've been communicating!

My logo and website name has changed however! www.amycharlescreative.com

Thank you for everyone who has supported me on my freelance journey so far, it really has meant the world to me! 🌀

Over the Summer Solstice weekend, I went on a little pilgrimage to Wales ❤ What unfolded was nothing short of magical. 🌿

In my latest blog, I share my journey of c***ecting with sacred waters, getting low-key haunted by a giant fabric Jesus in the convent guesthouse I stayed in, accidentally scaring a field of rams (sorry lads), and noticing the number 8 showing up everywhere.

Oh, and for the first time ever… I share a video of myself singing to the land...gulp!

Click the link below to dive into the stories, see the beautiful ancient wells I visited, and maybe feel a little bit of that solstice magic too. 💧✨

“I have to be in Wales for Summer Solstice.”The words whooshed round my mind as though caught in a washing machine stuck on rinse and spin.No matter how many times I tried to ease the need to go, telling myself - ‘you can’t afford it,’ ‘it’s too last minute,’ ‘YOU’VE ALREADY MADE...

Have you ever felt that nature was trying to tell you something?

That the trees and the flowing waters of Earth carry messages, not in words, but in feeling?

At Sacred Earth, Sacred Waters, we’ll be learning how our ancestors c***ected with the land to receive wisdom and support their health ❤️🌿 We'll then be practicing techniques inspired by this ancient connnecton and learrn new ways to listen to nature today. From tree rituals to water meditations, creative reflection to a relaxing sound bath, we’ll slow down and explore the threads that bind us to the natural world.

✨ We’ll be sharing these ancient techniques alongside modern science, including the emerging practice of Blue Health, to support your wellbeing from the inside out.

📅 Sunday 13th July | 9:30am–2:30pm
📍 Coxley Engine House Woods and Cafe

There are still some places available, message me to book ☺️❤️

Suzanne Summerton Blue Health & Life Purpose Coaching and I are so excited to be sharing this with you all. We were at Coxley Woods last week c***ecting with the land in preparation and I was blown away by Suzanne's knowledge about the science of water and the impact it has on the human body!

Come along to the event to find out the meaning behind the Blue Marble...🌊🌳

🌿 New Blog Post! 🌿

My second blog for A Soulful Journey is about the day I spent with the wonderful Simire from Nionga, Nioka Nsimire Afrikan yoga last week ❤️ It was such a blessing being able to photograph her c***ectingnto the stream at Stoneycliffe Nature Reserve in Wakefield. Simire has been such a teacher for me, and on this day she reminded me about just how much I have to be grateful for. Thankyou Simire! ❤️

"Be grateful for what life gives you because what it gives is perfect for you. You don’t need any more than that."

❤️🌳❤️

As mentioned in my last post, I’m setting the intention to journey to a sacred place each week. My definition of sacred is broad, it can mean a well known ancient sacred site, or somewhere I consider sacred (which for me is ANYWHERE with a tree). It’s also my hope that others interested in c***e...

"The part of me that’s been waiting to be heard…”

Maybe it calls like an echo.
Maybe it speaks in whispers.
Maybe it’s been hiding beneath the busyness of life.

What would it say, if you let it speak?
What story has it been carrying?
