We had a fantastic afternoon on Calderdale house yesterday with Chris Gill and partner singing and entertaining us once again. Lots of residents and staff were up dancing with each other and those who couldn’t get up were dancing in their seats, it was lovely to see everyone singing along and enjoying themselves, and all the smiling faces.

We had a lovely creative afternoon today on Wensleydale house making autumn sun catchers for the windows, we made hedgehogs, snails and pumpkins.

This week we’ve been baking chocolate rice crispy buns, which the residents Enjoyed making and decorating and most of all eating the buns 🧁

Our residents really enjoyed looking through the memory box we received from boots, it included hair and make up accessories, toiletry items, jewellery and magazines as well as some other items to bring back memories of years ago.

We had a lovely,relaxing morning On Calderdale house yesterday doing some guided armchair yoga exercise, some residents enjoyed doing some therapeutic colouring 🎨and a little walk to the summer house to feed the fish ⛲️🐟

We had a fantastic craft session yesterday on Wensleydale house making butterfly wind chimes. Both residents and staff got involved and we were very happy with the results.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday on Wensleydale house with Andy and Co and their talented performing poodles Fizz and Chanel. Everyone loved poodle cuddles and watching them both do their tricks.

Andy wowed everyone with his magic show and balloon animals, while Cheryl took Fizz and Chanel to meet the residents who chose to stay in their rooms, they were treated to a little performance too so no one missed out.

We had a fantastic afternoon, thank you Andy, Cheryl, Fizz and Chanel, we hope to see you again soon.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting sports day with Dan from Specsavers Audiology. We started with chair exercises, played target games, threw hoops around cones and played egg and spoon balancing. We ended with staff egg and spoon racing. All our residents and staff had a great time and it was a big success.
Thank you to Dan for a fantastic day.

We had a lovely intergenerational session yesterday with our friends The Mini Maestro’s, lots of singing, tambourines and doing actions, and smiles and then we played balloons.

Yesterday we celebrated National Afternoon Tea Week with a lovely afternoon tea party on Wensleydale house.
We got out our best China and everyone enjoyed mucky fat sandwiches, quiche, cheesecake and cupcakes made for us by our kitchen team.

We had a really lovely afternoon yesterday on Wharfedale house with Ukulele Henry. The residents had an amazing time and Henry made it a special afternoon for everyone, particularly one lady who was celebrating her birthday late as she was in hospital on her special day.

We had lots of laughs on Calderdale earlier this week with our new parachute. Staff, residents and their loved ones all joined in together for a fun afternoon, there were balls flying everywhere!
