Sunshine and blue skies, happy days and hopefully it will be the same for our Spring Coffee Morning on Friday 27th March from 10-12:30pm. Why not bring your friends and enjoy chatting over a hot drink. We have plenty of stalls organised including Tropic cosmetics, local artwork, Easter plants and lots more. Come and join us and support our local Hospice, we look forward to seeing you soon, thank you.

As promised here is an update on our next event, the Spring Coffee Morning on Friday 27 March. We have extended the time from 10 - 12:30 pm so you will have more time to browse our stalls. Not all vendors accept card payments so some cash will be handy. Come and join us, bring your friends and have fun at this family friendly event. There is easy wheelchair access and all rooms are booked to provide more space. We look forward to welcoming you on the 27 March 😊

We have lots of fundraising events planned for you in 2026 with some fresh ideas too. We will update you nearer the time...

We will update you nearer the time with more details, but let’s begin with our SPRING FAIR on 27th March with lots of interesting and new stalls including a wellbeing room! And … an evening with songs through the decades, is a DISCO!! Yes, Oh what a night that will be. 😀

Please don't forget our annual Joyce Swann Coffee Morning next Saturday (7th Feb) at the Sandal Methodist Church, Barnsley Road from 10-12 noon. We remember Joyce and hold the event at the Methodist Church because she was a regular worshiper here.

In 1982, Barbara Wain, Phyllis Chapman, Joyce Swann, Olive Carley and Joan O'Leary (not pictured) came together with the vision to build a hospice for the Wakefield community, a vision which was realised in 1990 and which has helped to support thousands of families ever since.

On Saturday we will be celebrating some incredible women, without whom, the Wakefield Hospice would not be here. Please come and join us and support this worthy cause. Thank you.

All the Wakefield volunteers were invited to a Christmas celebration at the Hospice this afternoon. It was an opportunity for us to mix with other volunteers and to hear about new initiatives coming our way.

Our brand-new Unit G shop will officially open on Saturday 6th December!

Unit G is an exciting new venture for us, based right next to the Donation Centre, and designed to offer a fresh, modern shopping experience with a huge range of high-quality donated stock. It’s a big step forward for the retail team and a fantastic opportunity to raise even more funds for patient care.
