Can't believe we have reached session 5 of Common Ground already!

This week we considered "giving" and "compassion" for ourselves, others and the environment and what we could do to promote these in our lives. We then made some camp fire hand balms for ourselves and to give to others and planted some seeds to give back to the environment and help wildlife.

"I come to sessions feeling ok: but I leave feeling better" was how one participant summed up the group so far!"- want to see what all the fuss is about?
Then if you are off sick/out of work/navigating life changes, join us!

every thursday 11-1 in south hiendley, booking in bio or message πŸ™‚πŸŒ³

Nature therapy isn't just about sitting in hammock chatting (or sleeping); its about slowing down, tuning into your surroundings, your self.
It's about noticing and co-regulation, helping you to feel safe in your body.

And of course, it's totally about the hammock as hammocks are awesome!

If you've spent years in survival mode, on edge ready to (re)act at any moment, your body will be screaming STOP, and it will make you, if you don't listen.

It isnt a quick fix, but its a way of rebuilding capacity and safety slowly, to enable you to feel again and be a part of your life, not just a spectator.

If you're ready to explore your life again, drop me a message- no pressure just a genuine conversation πŸ™‚πŸŒ³

Are you navigating absence from work, transition, or return to work? Then Common Ground is for you!

This group is suitable for individuals who may be:

-On sickness absence or phased return
- Recovering from stress, burnout, anxiety, or low confidence
-Out of work and feeling isolated or disconnected
-Finding traditional return-to-work support too pressurised
- Finding navigating life transitions or circumstances difficult
-Needing gentle re-engagement with routine, people, and shared activity
Why this approach works

Periods of absence or transition often come with:

- Loss of confidence and identity
-Disrupted routine
-Social withdrawal and anxiety
- Fear of being β€œbehind” or not coping well enough

Nature-based, relational group spaces support mental health by:

-Reducing pressure and performance expectations
-Offering safe, informal social contact
-Rebuilding trust in self and others
-Supporting regulation, energy, and motivation to improve your daily routine
-Restoring a sense of usefulness and belonging

Common Ground helps people re-enter shared space at a natural pace, which can ease later transitions back into work or training.

Time: 11-1pm

The moment you realise you accidentally sat on the stinging nettles you just pulled up! 🫠

Well there's a sensation I've not felt since a risky wild wee last summer - thankfully it's just a bum cheek- got up just in time 😹🌳

Unlike the NHS, this isnt 6 cookie-cutter sessions and you're done.

Whilst you'd be forgiven for thinking you'll be fixed in 6 sessions, in reality it takes longer than that to unpick all the layers, reset your nervous system and build capacity on which to base your new routines.
How long depends on what you bring & where you want to get to; but what you get is a practical personalised plan to suit your lifestyle, not what an algorithm says you should have.
You can also have sessions in nature, not a faceless therapy space!

Interested, or not sure where to start, thats ok, message me to book in a free chat πŸ™‚πŸŒ³

Great Common Ground session this morning!

We "took notice" this morning, building on our explorations of our senses and how nature makes us feel. We then found items in nature and responded creatively to these in prose and haikus (ish)!

There are only a few funded sessions left, so if youre off sick/out of work struggling with life changes and you've been thinking about joining us, why not jump on a free session?! πŸ™‚πŸŒ³
