Supplements
Yes or No?!
With the coming cold months, come all sorts of viruses, colds, and airborne infections.
Surely we got ourselves ready for the winter months as we go on summer holidays, where we sunbathing and collecting vit.D, we hiking, spending more time in nature on a fresh air, we are excercising more in the warm months, then in sold dark days. What's happen in winter time?! We are getting lazier, more worn out, more sad, more slower, no wish for excercises, no much sunny days=no much vit.D, we start to eat more crab food and chocolate. As you maybe know vit. D is very important for producing of serotonin the hormone of Happiness, and the chocolate or its main ingrediente-cocoa, it contains tryptophan, which the body uses to produce serotonin -the hormon of happiness. And this is why eating chocolate make you feel better.
Now, supplements and what is their role?!
A food supplement is defined as 'any food the purpose of which is to supplement the normal diet and which is a concentrated source of a vitamin or mineral or other substance with a nutritional or physiological effect, alone or in combination and is sold in dose form'.
A wide range of nutrients and other ingredients might be present in food supplements. These can include:
*vitamins
*minerals
*amino acids
*essential fatty acids
*fibre
*various plants and herbal extracts
Food supplements are intended to correct nutritional deficiencies, maintain an adequate intake of certain nutrients, or to support specific physiological functions. They are not medicinal products!
Well, looks like they have a significant role in our daily life.
Now, you need to be careful when choosing companies which produce supplements. They are so many on the market these days. Make your own research before you buy and take any products. Make sure they are high quality and have very good reputation.
Other ways to keep your body and soul in their best health are: daily practise of yoga, qigong, deep breathing, long walks in nature, good laughter with friends, good book or a film.
Just don't let these dark, miserable, cold days and nights to take the joy of you.
My point of view about supplements= I LOVE THEM ! I need them for my harmony and balance.
