Betty formerly of Stanley passed away in Deangate Care Home, Mapplewell on August 24th, aged 91 years.

A loving mum of Gary and mum in law of Annie, grandmother of Lisa, Peter and Katie, great grandmother of Buddy, Charlotte, Jack and Ivy. She is now back with her much loved late husband Ken and son Glenn.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday September 17th at Wakefield Crematorium at 11.20am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu will be given to Deangate Care Home to go towards future trips or events for the residents.

Eva’s funeral will take place on Tuesday September 30th at Wakefield Crematorium at 11.20am. No flowers by request but donations in Eva’s memory may be given to Wakefield Hospice.

A funeral service will take place at Lofthouse Parish Church, 12.15pm, Thursday September 18th, followed by a private family committal at Wakefield Crematorium.

All are welcome to continue sharing memories of Pat at Carlton Cricket Club, Town Street, Carlton, WF3 3QU after the service.

Mavis passed away peacefully at her home in Stanley aged 78 years.
All are welcome to attend a funeral service to celebrate her life on Friday 22nd August at 10:45am at St Peter’s Church, Stanley, followed by interment at Stanley Cemetery.
Everybody is also welcome at Stanley Rangers clubhouse after the service to continue sharing your memories of Mavis.

The family of Gareth Anthony Tate would like to announce that sadly on Friday 1st August in Pinderfields Hospital, Gareth passed away.
The funeral will take place on Friday 29th August at 10.40am at Wakefield Crematorium.
We would then like to invite friends and family to Outwood Working Mens Club for a celebration of Gareths life after the service.

Laurie passed away peacefully at home on 14th July aged 79 years with his beloved wife Jackie by his side.

A service in celebration of Laurie’s life will be held on 31st July at Wakefield Crematorium at 1.20pm. Everyone is welcome to join the family after the service at the Travellers Inn, Stanley to continue sharing memories of Laurie. Donations in lieu to MND Association, a box will be present at the service.

Jackie would like to thank everyone for their kind support and words of comfort after a difficult 6 months.

In God’s care, John, aged 78 years, died at home in Outwood with his sorrowing wife Christine at his side. A brother, uncle and cousin, pre-deceased by his beloved son, Kevin, now re-united, he was a very popular bus driver (41 years). The life of a wonderful, good, kind and friendly gentle man taken to soon.

Funeral service to be held at Christ Church, Lofthouse on Friday August 1st at 12.00 noon followed by internment at Outwood Cemetery. Friends, ex-colleagues and passengers please accept this intimation and meet at the church. Flowers (no orange lilies) or donations to Community Awareness Programme, Wakefield. Thank you to all who have helped in the care of John over the past four and a half years.

Kevin of Wakefield died suddenly on Wednesday 2nd July aged 71 years. Loving widower of Susan Hutchinson, who died in 2015. Kevin was survived by beloved partner, Clare and by his cherished daughters, Nina and Ruth with husband, Kev. As a blended family of 9 years, he was a father figure to Clare’s children Simon, his wife Rachel, and to Kate. He was a dearly loved grandad to Henry, Jessica and George and a grandfather figure to Ben and Harrison.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday 29th July at 10.15am at St Anne’s Church, Wrenthorpe, followed by a private interment at Seaham, County Durham.

Donations in lieu of flowers please to Yorkshire Air Ambulance or Mind Over Mountains.
