A kind reminder that it takes 7 days for your blood test results to be processed. We will only contact you if there is something to discuss. You can ring the surgery after 7 days to check or alternatively you can register with our online services and view the results there. Thank you for your understanding.

We are experiencing some IT issues at the surgery at the moment. Due to this our phone lines are not working properly. The engineer is now on site and we are hoping to get this fixed as soon as possible. If your issue is not urgent please phone us back tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

Upon arrival of a new baby please don't forget to register them at your local GP practice to ensure they receive their 6-8 week check and immunisations on time. You can pick up a new registration form at reception or register them online. Once registered you can call the surgery on 0113 253 7628 to book your appointments.

Please don't ignore your mammogram screening invites. You'll automatically get your first invite for breast screening between the ages of 50 and 53. Then you'll be invited every 3 years until you turn 71.

If you're a trans man, trans woman or are non-binary you may be invited automatically, or you may need to talk to your GP surgery or call the local breast screening service to ask for an appointment.

You need to be registered with a GP surgery to be invited for breast screening.

Leigh View Medical has a long and well established Patient Participation group (PPG for short)

The PPG are an integral part of interlinking patients with the Practice Manager and working with the PM to progress the practice and have patients views and opinions heard.

They are also a key part of enhancing the patient community with the PPG organising many events such as coffee mornings, chair aerobics, knitting, walking clubs and much much more.

We are now looking to expand the PPG committee by recruiting 2 more patients to join. If you are a patient registered at Leigh View and have a few hours week spare to support the PPG and would like to be considered in becoming a member please contact the practice on post.leighview@nhs.net FAO of Daniel Robinson PM

If you would like more information and a chat with myself the PM about the PPG in more detail I am more than happy to have a chat in person or over the phone.
