Debbie is a qualified and experience acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council. Over the last decade she has trained in and gained internationally recognised qualifications in complementary therapies. She has also gained a Bachelor of Science degree in Acupuncture. Since graduating Debbie has operated from clinics in Leeds city centre as well as a number of multi bed clinics.
Since January 2014 Debbie has been working with alongside Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust at The Well Complementary Therapy Centre where she provides Acupuncture as a service for cancer patients both men and women from Barnsley who are being treated for cancer, no matter where they are being treated. Her own battles with Follicular Lymphoma, which she was diagnosed with in 2012, have provided a unique perspective on the care of patients within a clinical setting. In 2018 Debbie undertook training with Macmillan cancer support, to enable her to provide support via the Macmillan Hope course. Hope stands for “helping overcome problems effectively”, something Debbie believes in a great deal.
The aim of Debbie Smith Acupuncture is to offer a friendly & confidential acupuncture service to people of all ages. As a qualified acupuncturist she is dedicated to improving the quality of your life.
