As we continue to grow and drive towards our ambitious goal of reaching £104m turnover by 2030, we’re excited to be strengthening our team with fresh expertise across the business.

We’re delighted to welcome:

- Leon Holywell and William Waterston as Business Development Managers – Leon brings 28 years in modular construction, while William adds fresh insight from healthcare off-site solutions.

- Rebecca Wingfield as Commercial Controller, bringing strong finance and commercial expertise from the traffic signals and telecoms sectors.

- JP Visage and Chris Baldwin as Project Managers – JP joins with experience from Portakabin and a diverse background in hospitality, quality assurance, and health & safety, while Chris brings 26 years of construction expertise across steel and concrete frames, hydrogen fuel cells, and LNG rollouts.

- James Osborne as Marketing Manager, with over 15 years’ experience in B2B marketing, who will lead and shape our marketing strategy across the Group.

We’re excited to see the impact our new team members will bring as we continue to optimise project delivery, strengthen our commercial and business development expertise, and drive forward our plans for growth.

As proud members of the Modular and Portable Building Association, we’re delighted to see the launch of the MPBA Roadmap to Net Zero - a pivotal industry initiative that outlines a clear path to achieving whole-life carbon neutrality by 2050.

This collaborative roadmap, shaped by sustainability experts, members, and the MPBA Sustainability Committee (of which our SHEQ Lead, Janet Lewis, is an active member), sets out practical tools and milestones to help our sector deliver lasting environmental impact.

At Thurston, we recognise our role in driving sustainable innovation within the modular and portable building industry. The Roadmap to Net Zero reinforces our shared commitment to reducing carbon across every stage of the building lifecycle — from design and manufacture through to reuse and adaptation.

Today is , and we’re taking a moment to reflect on the importance of keeping conversations about how we’re feeling open and ongoing as we head into the darker months.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be hosting sessions across our sites to encourage open discussions around emotional wellbeing, to make sure everyone feels supported and heard.

We know that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we’re committed to supporting our team’s wellbeing today and every day.

🦺 Safety is a non-negiotable part of our business, day in, day out.

That's why we're launching our 'Don't Walk By' campaign, a group-wide Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) initiative designed to strengthen our safety-first culture.

We're empowering every team to take ownership of hazard identification, intervention, and reporting, from directors through to production staff and subcontractors.

This message is reinforced through our short film, 'I Chose to Look the Other Way', featuring Thurston colleagues reading the poem of the same name by Don Merrell.

We held a Macmillan Coffee Morning today, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with many of our team chipping in with brilliant bakes! 🍰

Together, we've raised vital funds for the charity - as they celebrate their 35th year of Coffee Mornings being hosted across the UK, raising around £300 million over that time to support people living with cancer.
