With more people thinking about unattended funerals than ever before, it is important to know that we are on hand to assist and guide you to make the right choices and give your loved one the send-off that they deserve.

A “no fuss” funeral does not have to mean an unattended funeral. We have a range of options to provide a bespoke funeral service that suits the needs of your family. This could include an intimate service for family and close friends at our peaceful chapel of rest where you have an opportunity to pay your respects and say your final goodbyes. A non-attended cremation could then follow at a local crematorium.

St James the Great, Ryhill will always hold a special place in our heart. It's our pleasure to support their mission. Thank you to The Revd Canon Paul Cartwright for this post and for your kind words. Merry Christmas.

DAY 1 OF THANKSGIVINGS
==================
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

There are only four days left until Christmas Day, so why not make the most of them.

This is a great time to say thank you to those who help make a difference in your life and so today we say a huge THANK YOU to our local family run funeral directors Normington & Sons Ltd, with some interesting facts.

Philip and Ingrid carry on a long history of the Normington family supporting their local Churches such as St James the Great as well as other Community based projects. Behind the scenes they have helped St James with Projects which include the installation of a new sound system, and supplying an electronic tablet to play music from as well as other gifts along the way (too many to mention).

Recently they supported a memorial service at St James which raised over £390, as well as supporting many other charities in our village in the run up to Christmas.

And this just carries on a tradition which Phiilip no doubt learnt from his dad Ron, who also helped the local community and St James Church when they made changes to the Parish Centre just to name one project.

So I hope this post doesn't embarass Philip and Ingrid as well as the whole Normington team, because I know they don't share their kindness and donate funds and items for a public thank you, they do it to help out our fantastic community and all who live in it!

So Join with us as we say THANK YOU! Thank you for all you have done in the past, and all you will do in the future and be assured of our prayers of THANKSGIVING as we prepare to go into 2026.
