Dream Time Baby Massage is all about supporting mums with babies in a safe, secure and welcoming non Babies are born with an awareness of their own bodies.

Babies, before they are born, engage with many of their senses. Once they are born, Dream Time Baby Massage helps develop your babies senses through strong loving touch, lullaby song, gentle movement and social time. They move within the womb. They push, they grab, they suck their thumbs, they kick, they pat, they wriggle, they lick the walls of the uterus and they practice breathing. Your baby can hear you, they know your smell, they remember how it feels to be calm, to be excited, to be shocked, to be loved. Dream Time Baby Massage builds on the experiences in the womb and broadens it so that you and your baby can bond even further in a supportive, relaxed, calm and inclusive environment. The benefits of being a Dream Time Baby are boundless. Singing soothes and brings on language development. Dancing brings balance and joy. Yoga leads to muscle development and flexibility. Massage means relaxation and bonding as a unique closeness is established. Massage means less colic, more sleep, less stress, more weight gain, less anxiety, more brain activity, less tension, more bowel movements, less pain, more trust. Bonding brings laughter, brain development, and new found co-ordination. Sharing stories through baby babble, means making new connections, and new friends. Our beautiful new logo.

Do you recognise baby Caleb? He's on the moon, sleeping beautifully under the night sky.

Caleb is now 28 but I established Dream Time Creative's Baby Massage and Movement Therapy when he was born. For 28 years so much sharing of stories, kindness, growth, trials and moments of joy have taken place in classes as we have all grown and changed, as our babies grow and change, into mature, well rounded and beautiful adults.

In 2016 I started to share and train women who I trusted with the secrets of Dream Time so that the next stage of our growth could take place. Many of those women have grown out of delivering Dream Time Creative Baby Massage and for one reason or another they have moved on. I am grateful for their love and loyalty to the gift they were given and know many 1000's of women across Yorkshire have benefited, grown, felt supportive and safe in the classes that they have attended.

We walk together for a season and then we part. As children grow and leave home, confident in themselves, we are wise to let them go hoping they carry with them what we try to instill. Integrity, kindness, empathy and the ability to love unconditionally and without ego.

Sometimes, when those qualities don't emerge, all we have is hope that they will stay true to the path we have shown them, and if they don't, that they will eventually return to those qualities. When that doesn't happen and we feel disappointed, or angry, or hurt, then part of the wisdom of mothers is to understand that whatever our children create for themselves, what ever that is, belongs to them and them alone. And so they must also own the consequences of their actions.

This new logo is symbolic of us stepping away from a turbulent past few years and better reflects the quiet wisdom Dream Time Creative Baby Massage and Movement Therapy teachers have gained through their longevity of service, their age and their training. (Level 3 Open Awards that takes 6 months full time to complete)

Their depth of understanding of your birthing experience creates such a strong bond between them and you and their empathy and their ability to 'just be' with you as you grow and go through momentous shifts and changes is what sets Dream Time apart from all other 'baby' groups. We walk by your side for a season as you find your new you within the orbit of new life you have created and then, like good parents, we let you go. Sometimes you stay with us for a year, other times a few months but we are here, along with the 1000's of other people in the Dream Time community for however long you wish to stay.

And so, as of June 1st 2025 only teachers proudly showing this updated logo have chosen to commit wholly and fully to the Dream Time philosophy and continue on walk a path of respect, peace and joy.

Here is a place where you and your little ones are nurtured and accepted in equal measure gently and quietly, in the circle of the sun.

I'm so proud to be the founder of Dream Time Creative and am now equally proud to bring Dream Time Creative's Baby Massage and Movement Therapy established 28 years ago, firmly alongside Dream Time Creative. As a sister strand, the two have sat side by side since 2016 with various wonderful teachers coming and going creating safe, welcoming, mature and wise spaces for women since then.

At the moment there are five teachers who remain at the heart of the circle and 100's of women every day who still benefit from the core philosophy that is Dream Time Creative.

Why Dream Time?

Dream Time Baby Massage is a unique class, supporting both mum and baby in equal measure.

Dream Time has been established for 28 Years! This is incredible, to think how many babies have been through our circles in this time!

Each Dream Time Teacher has been through the circle as a Mum - so we know what it’s like to walk into that first session, to share the space with other amazing women, caregivers and babies, to feel so many emotions holding your baby whilst singing these powerful songs to them.

Dream Time Baby Massage is a place to come and just ‘be’. If you’ve had a rough week, a tiring night, or just need some company - Dream Time is always here. Likewise, we celebrate the wins with you! First time baby rolls, first clap, first tooth - we’re your cheerleader for everything!

Sarah’s Dream Time Story

Dream Time Baby Massage is all about supporting mums with babies in a safe, secure and welcoming non-judgemental and inclusive environment.

Hello there,

I established Dreamtime in 1999 after qualifying as a Baby Massage and Movement Therapist whilst I was working full time as an English teacher. I ran classes on the weekends that my son was with his dad and worked at school during the week. Eventually I realised that my priorities had changed, that I wanted to put my family at the heart of my working life and have worked for myself ever since. I structured Dream Time classes to fit beautifully around family life.

I have qualifications in baby massage and movement therapy, level three in counselling, have attended many courses on aromatherapy and am a Reiki Master/teacher. I run meditation groups and do yoga. I have extensive experience of training teachers. I am also the CEO of Dream Time Creative, an arts company focussed on empowering, enabling and emboldening the Woman’s Voice. That company is at the heart of The Forgotten Women of Wakefield project that aims for Blue Plaque parity for women by 2025.

I took the decision to train women who wanted to become Dream Time teachers in 2014. There are always waiting lists to come to each of my classes and because I believe that such a positive experience as coming to a Dream Time class is something that no one ought to wait for I started training teachers in the autumn of that year. When I bump into Mums whose little babies came to Dream Time 17 years ago, and who are now heading off to university, these kind lovely women tell me time, and time again that Dream Time was the best thing they had ever done with their baby. They also tell me that they are still the best of friends with the mums they met in Dream Time Classes.

That makes me feel good.

The philosophy that underpins Dreamtime’s success is one that cherishes, validates, supports and cares about people, babies and the challenges we all face as new parents.

But it’s not all serious.

We have a lot of fun at Dreamtime. By singing through a unique routine of traditional and modern lullabies, we create powerful bonding connections. By using yoga and massage techniques combined with specially formulated Dreamtime oil, we become more flexible, more confident and more comfortable with our new parent selves as our babies respond to movements that counteract colic, birth trauma , restlessness and crying.

I think the reason Dream Time is so very successful is that it values downtime. This is incredibly important for parents too, it allows them to just ‘be’. After every class we share a cuppa and a homemade cake and we talk, and we laugh, we share and sometimes we cry.

You can take what you need from Dream Time and there is never any pressure to do anything. We always work with your baby not against her, and the same goes for you. What happens in class is often so very special it’s sometimes hard to leave, both at the end of a class, and once baby has grown too big for Dream Time! In fact, I often have to shoe horn mums out! Thank goodness there are Dream Time Little Wiggler toddler classes delivered by more and more Dream Time teachers!

How long do babies come for? Until they, and you are ready to leave.

It’s an honour and privilege to be part of the lives of all my Dream Time Families… over 8,000 of them so far!
