Golfhill Care Home was proud to partner with the Care Home Collaborative team to host the Mobile Skills Unit last week.

The visit gave our colleagues the chance to take part in interactive, hands-on clinical training, building skills, confidence, and teamwork across the home.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, and to the Care Home Collaborative for bringing this fantastic learning experience to Golfhill!

Spooky Treats and Smiles at Elderslie Care Home - Advinia

It was all about fun, flavour, and festive spirit as residents at Elderslie Care Home celebrated Halloween with a spread of delicious themed bakes, thanks to the creativity of Head Chef Colin and his fantastic Hospitality team.

From ghostly cupcakes to pumpkin-inspired pastries, the team brought Halloween to life, proving once again that mealtimes at Advinia are made with both heart and imagination.

We were proud to take part in Creed Foodservice's first Catering Care Forum at Rugby College on Thursday, 30th October.

Our Head of Hospitality, Mark Dale, and Hospitality Development Manager, Richard Smith, were honoured to guest speak on how the BDA Framework can help turn policy into plate perfection, ensuring nutritious, appealing meals across the care sector.

The day also featured brilliant insights from Unilever, Oak House Kitchen, and Able Care Homes, exploring flavour trends, IDDSI implementation, and catering logistics.

“It was fantastic to share best practice and collaborate with others who share our passion for excellence in care catering,” said Mark.

“The day really showcased the innovation and commitment within our industry to continually improve the dining experience in care,” added Richard.
