Satori is the Japanese word used to describe light or profound clarity
Hereās some Japanese wisdom for the week.
1. Kaizen
To improve a little bit, 1% daily we need small consistent steps, donāt we?
Tiny progress repeated daily teaches the brain micro habits = habits = compounded change over time = your new normal.
2. Hara Hachi Bu
Stop eating B E F O R E you feel full!
Longevity is built on balance, not excess. When you learn to stop eating before enough becomes too much, your body and mind stay lighter.
I teach your brain this during conscious eating hypnotherapy sessions, we send the āenoughā signal to to brain B E F O R E you get full.
3. Shoshin
I L O V E having a beginnerās mind.
Being curious, open to learning
The moment we think we know everything is the moment we know the least & growth stops
4. Ikigai
My favourite!
Find your reason to wake up every day,
We uncover whatās already innately inside you, what lights you up, motivates you, the W H Y that puts fire in your belly, drives you, gives you a reason to get out of bed & get into your F L O W every single day.
Purpose gives direction to your life when what you do has meaning, it feels fulfilling & your energy flows = Happy youā¦this RIPPLES out
As a certified IKIGAI Coach I include this wonderful model in my coaching & peaceful mind mentoring with young people.
5. Wabi-Sabi
Embrace imperfection.
Nothing is perfect, thatās what makes us real. Beauty & progress is in the flaws, the f ..k ups & being real
6. Oubaitori
Donāt compare your journey.
A Sunflower doesnāt compete with a Rose, does it?
Everyone grows at their own pace, comparison creates pressure & is the ā thief of joyā
You donāt need a complicated life to feel fulfilledā¦
Follow your values, your why & your š
Live life with awareness, self compassion, patience & BE YOU
