Wakefield's Red Tent We meet the first Tuesday of every month. A place for all ages of women 18+ to gather, share or not It all started from a humble novel written by Anita Diamant.

Dream Time Creative CIC, along with some of their volunteers proudly opened their studio space to allow for this monthly women’s group, The Red Tent that has been running since April 2018 in Wakefield City Centre. Sadly, we do not have a permenant venue at the moment, so we meet in various group members' lounges! It is part of a global network of women’s circles that meet around the world. Red Tents are spaces intentionally co-created for women to share, connect and authentically be. They are spaces for women to share their stories, rest and gain strength from being together and supporting one another. At our Red Tent we think about Red Tents as spaces to break our silence and replace it with radical collective care, spaces where care becomes a blueprint between us and where ritual, respect and honesty help us engage together in the long-term work of unpicking oppressive systems. We acknowledge the often unconscious complicity of women’s sacred spaces in maintaining injustice. Red Tents consciously challenge these structures and facilitate a culture between women of connection, cooperation, mutual support, and solidarity.

Step into the changing Autumnal season with Fall & Shadows, two afternoons exploring the metaphors of Autumn with art, reflection, creative activities, looking at balance, harvest, change, releasing and the beauty of letting go.
Together, we’ll slow down, unveil & examine both the golden light and the long shadows within nature & of our own inner Autumnal psyches.
Two gentle gatherings for grounding, gratitude, and growth.

What to expect:
We will be exploring our inner Autumns, the balance, the transition and the metaphors.
We will be looking at ways to nourish and nurture the Autumnal aspects of our psyches.
We will be reflecting through creative activities, journaling and group discussion.

We will be designing our own seasonal notebook covers and responding to autumnal art prompts and images
All the materials & refreshments will be provided.
No artistic experience required — just curiosity, openness, and a love for this wonderful and metaphorically rich season.
