This one was something special.
A full deep clean carried out from top to bottom – bringing the angel back to life and carefully restoring the stone to how it should look. Years of grime, biological growth and staining completely stripped away the right way.
Some of the original lettering had been lost to time, so I carefully repainted missing sections to make everything clear and legible again, while keeping it in keeping with the original.
The original four corner posts were missing β€” I searched the surrounding area but unfortunately couldn’t locate them.
The difference speaks for itself.
This isn’t just a quick wash… this is proper restoration, done with the right products, the right process, and years of experience behind it.
Another one brought back with the respect it deserves 🀍

Apologies in advance for the little rant… but appearances can be deceiving. Some work may look decent in photographs, yet with time the truth comes out when shortcuts have been taken and standards haven’t been met.
Today, I’ve spent five hours on one memorial alone correcting previous poor workmanship and bringing it back to the standard it deserved from the start.
The customer was absolutely delighted with the result, but understandably doesn’t want any photographs shared as she feels embarrassed for choosing somebody else originally. No judgement whatsoever β€” these things happen, and many people only realise the difference once the problems start to show.
The honest reality is that rectifying poor work usually takes far longer than doing it properly in the first place, which often means the cost can end up costing more than double. Because of the time these jobs take, I won’t be taking many correction jobs on for a little while.

A truly rewarding transformation on this lovely marble open book memorial. Over many years, earth had built up right over the plinth and the stone had fallen into heavy decay. The lettering had been previously attempted by someone else, with paint spread over the stone rather than kept neatly within the engraved inscriptions. This all had to be carefully removed from the pores of the stone before the re-lettering could properly begin.
Many of the inscriptions had weathered so badly they were no longer visible, so a large amount of the lettering had to be carefully freehand restored by hand. Work like this takes time, patience, and years of experience β€” but the end result speaks for itself.

Another beautiful transformation of a marble headstone with a full curved set and footstone. Over the years, weathering can slowly erase inscriptions from marble, but this one has been brought back to life. I carefully re-lettered the memorial, with around 60% of the lettering freehanded using an old reference.
Work like this takes patience, precision, and years of experience β€” not something to be rushed or trusted to just anybody. A truly rewarding result, and another memorial restored with the care it deserves.

I absolutely loved restoring this memorial. A full transformation on this beautiful marble headstone, matching kerb set, footstone, and refreshed lettering throughout. Finished off with a fresh gravel change, bringing everything back to life beautifully.

This one was a real challenge, but what a result! A full restoration of a beautiful marble headstone with lead lettering and a complete kerb set brought back to life. All glass chippings were carefully removed, professionally cleaned, and reinstated to leave everything looking its absolute best.
