Amino Acids That Improve Zinc Absorption
Certain amino acids bind to zinc and help transport it into the body more efficiently. The best ones are:

✅ Histidine – Found in soybeans, lentils, peanuts, quinoa, sesame seeds
✅ Cysteine – Found in oats, sunflower seeds, soy, chickpeas, whole grains

✨ Homemade Sauerkraut – Another Natural Remedy in the arsenal to keep the
immune system strong during the winter months ✨

🥬 Fermented foods have been loved for 2,000+ years as healthy condiments!
(Did you know that sailors used to take sauerkraut on long sea voyages to avoid
scurvy?)
⚡ Sauerkraut is packed with probiotics to support gut health & immunity.
💰 Store-bought versions can be pricey, but making your own is cheap & easy!

✅ You’ll need:
• 1 medium cabbage 🥬
• Salt 🧂
• (Optional) 1 bay leaf 🍃, 1 garlic clove 🧄, 5 peppercorns ⚫

🔹 How to make it:
1️⃣ Slice the cabbage thinly & salt generously.
2️⃣ Using a rolling pin, beat the cabbage until it releases juice.
3️⃣ Pack it tightly into a sterilized 500ml jar & add extras to taste.
4️⃣ Ensure the cabbage is fully covered in juice. Add water if needed.
5️⃣ Store in a warm, dark place & ‘burp’ the jar after 2-3 days.
6️⃣ Repeat daily & ferment for 10 days to 1 month for best texture!

! Make sure that the cabbage is covered in juice to avoid spoiling!
