🦐 The recent relaxation of restrictions across the country is great news for the hospitality and leisure industries, which have both been massively impacted by the pandemic and ongoing lockdowns. The past year has certainly been difficult for us all, with the global pandemic effecting all aspects and walks of life. As a company who specialise in hands on training, it’s been incredibly challenging for us to adapt our to the new limitations, whilst still maintaining candidate enthusiasm and engagement. It’s been hard, but we will get through this, and we cannot wait to get back to some kind of normality this year. We like our clients to enjoy their learning experience with us, which is always at its best when candidates can be more physically involved with the practical elements of the course.

With vaccines now rolling out around the country, after a heroic push last year, we look forward to staff being high on the agenda again, as industries look to bounce back and invest in their workforce. It was interesting to read on the BBC website recently, that it took only ten months to develop the vaccine, following the same steps that normally span ten years. That aside, it has still been a long ten months for us all. As a business, we currently continue to deliver training, adapting and monitoring our delivery inline with the latest advice from the government and advisory bodies. Moving forwards we hope to return to our pre-pandemic ways, being hands on with candidates in-action like in the photos below. 👇🏻

A company and its managing director have been sentenced after poor conditions at a building site were found to be . The court heard how HSE inspectors had visited the site in London, following an incident in January 2017, where they found evidence of poor health and conditions on site including dangerous work at height, a lack of suitable equipment, and untrained operatives working without adequate supervision.

An investigation by the Health and Safety Executive ( ) subsequently found the construction failed to plan, manage and monitor the work on site and its managing director Mr Doherty was responsible for the poor on site. C J Langs Limited of Ruislip pleaded guilty to breaching regulation 15(2) of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and was fined £80,000 and ordered to pay costs of £6,000. Mr Doherty pleaded guilty to breaching Section 37(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid community work and to pay costs of £1,673. He was also disqualified from being a company for a period of 3 years.

We are proud to announce that our website is now mobile . We know how busy everyone is nowadays, which is why we’ve been working on improving our to allow you to use it easily from your mobile, tablet or computer. From viewing our range of popular courses to requesting a quote, accessing our website on the go has never been easier. The number of people visiting our site on has been rising steadily for years, and currently about 30 percent of our visitors enter on a device. Now to browser size, our latest updates make the website much easier to navigate on phones, both portrait and landscape, and we look forward to introducing further enchancements in the coming months.
