Class is available to women & men age 15+
To begin we find some stillness, notice the rhythm of our own breath then send the breath deeper, down into the belly increasing lung capacity and calming the nervous system.
Moving into a slow paced seated warm up, we loosen the muscles to prepare our bodies to manoeuvre safely in our Asana (poses/postures).
Next we hold stronger Yoga poses focusing on alignment and balance mixed with flowing movement in modified Sun Salutation sequences to challenge body and mind.
Finally coming back down on our mat to some cooling and releasing postures before our 5-10 minute guided relaxation in Savasana, becoming passive, relaxed and refreshed.
