Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga designed for people who want the benefits of stretching, movement, and relaxation without getting down on the floor.
It’s especially helpful for:
• People with limited mobility
• Beginners who want a safe, accessible way to start yoga
• People recovering from injury, illness, or surgery
• Those with balance issues or chronic conditions (like arthritis)
• Office workers who sit for long periods

You can do most poses while seated or using a chair for support, which makes it safer and more comfortable while still improving flexibility, strength, posture, and relaxation.

No yoga classes next week ✨

We’re pressing pause for half term.
Take this time to rest, spend time with your favourite people, and maybe even roll out your mat at home for a gentle stretch. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Classes will be back the following week, Monday 23rd, feeling refreshed and ready to flow.

Class is available to women & men age 15+

To begin we find some stillness, notice the rhythm of our own breath then send the breath deeper, down into the belly increasing lung capacity and calming the nervous system.

Moving into a slow paced seated warm up, we loosen the muscles to prepare our bodies to manoeuvre safely in our Asana (poses/postures).

Next we hold stronger Yoga poses focusing on alignment and balance mixed with flowing movement in modified Sun Salutation sequences to challenge body and mind.

Finally coming back down on our mat to some cooling and releasing postures before our 5-10 minute guided relaxation in Savasana, becoming passive, relaxed and refreshed.

Welcoming you to join us, whether you’ve done Yoga or never before. 🙏🏼
