Hi 👋🏼

I'm Leigh-Anne, and it's been a while since I have introduced myself here on Insta!

I'm a coach, mentor and grief educator.

I work day to day with teens and have a private practice working from my home (online and in The Wirral 🌅)

I have been coaching using various modalities since 2018, and have developed a real love in working with grief, end of life and illness.

I also enjoy helping all people to live their lives free from limitations ❤️ and running my community lead womens circle ⭕

I enjoy spending time with my young family, my dog Rosa, the beach, sitting fireside, swimming in lakes and rivers, saunas of all kinds, endless reading and drinking tea, wearing my headphones and ignoring everyone....and going for long walks whilst discovering the names of every plant, tree and bird (then immediately forgetting them)

Christmas can bring up lots of stuff.

It's beautiful when we can slow down and spend precious time with loved ones.

But often that is bittersweet,

If you aren't feeling the festive spirit, it's OK

Get a takeout, wrap yourself in a blanket,
Binge watch your favourite programme, light a candle and look at photos.

Do what feels right.

Christmas looks different some years, honour the seasons of your life 🎄

Often when we are in grief, we can have the tendency to be really harsh with ourselves!

Or we can use toxic positivity as a coping strategy.

Or just feel like we are just doing grief plain wrong.

Grief is brutal, and during this time we have fundamental needs that as a grief educator and therapeutic coach I strive to meet:

⚪To have your pain witnessed
⚪To express your feelings
⚪To release the burden of guilt
⚪To be free of old wounds
⚪To integrate the pain and love
⚪To find meaning in life after loss

I am going to write more about these over the coming days,

Grief support

I currently am fortunate enough to be able to offer grief support for Ahead of the Game Foundation. Both one to one and in groups for those who have lost a loved one to cancer.

Since 2018 I have walked alongside many, from children, families and adults through illness, trauma, abuse and grief. My work as a coach and mentor over the years has evolved with my own life experiences and continued professional development.

More recently deepened my knowledge by training under David Kessler- world renowned Grief expert and became a certified grief educator.

I aim to hold safe, non judgemental spaces in which people can feel truly witnessed and supported in community.

There is something about coaching people through the dark times that I just love

Through death,
Through trauma,
Cancer,
Serious illness.

And I find that when people come to me, they come ready to delve.

Deep

And this is exactly what is needed,
We shed the protective layers,
The decades of learnt patterns,
We name the bu****it,
Shed light on the shadows,

We focus on the reality, the right now

And we build from there.

Absolutely no judgement,
No nonsense,
Everything is welcome

I love my work, and am forever grateful that I get to share it with people,

Things about my coaching space that I love ❤️

It's private, not overlooked.

It's cleansed before use, with smoke, intention and sound.

It's comfy, cushions, sofa, chairs, blankets, tissues and filtered water.

Weighted blankets and fidgets for all your sensory needs.

You can see the flowers, the sky and hear the sound of the pond outside.

It's relaxed and homely.

It's my home space for coaching, circles, my own down time and our family space for when we need some rest away from the main house.

And I am so grateful to share it with you ❤️

Coaching sessions can be a dance with polarity.

Light and dark, joy and grief, desire and fear.

Just like life right!?! These feelings often coexist.

Some sessions are full of hope and manifestation; others dive deep into pain, betrayal, death, and shadow.

Both are sacred. Both are welcome.

You can bring your whole self — the radiant, the raw, and the messy middle.

No session is ever the same, and that’s what I love most.

I’m right there with you.

Friends.

Community is so important.
For your health, your mind, your soul.

Go out and find people who don't just pick you up when you are down, but can sit with you and allow you to just be.

Those people who always talk you up when you aren't in the room, and always have your back.
