Just arrived home a short while ago after a relaxing couple of days at Lake Maggiore and then onto stunning Mandali Centre for another Max Strom retreat.
Everything about Mandali, from its spectacular location, eco facilities , ethical practices and gorgeous veggie cuisine allows you to truly escape and immerse yourself in a piece of heaven on earth where the quality of air feels like nectar… and there’s a welcome absence of tv screens, digital devices and alcohol.
Indeed from the very first moment you set foot in Mandali, high in the hills of Quarna Sopra, Northern Italy you are immediately enveloped in the entranceway of stone walls containing 40 large amethyst geodes, vertically implanted in the wall so as to bathe visitors with positive vibes as they enter and leave this magical space.
Awaking early each day to sweet, happy, chirpy birdsong from finches, sparrows and other feathered friends , there were views to die for (especially from the stunning swimming pool and hot tub overlooking the length of Lake Orta), vistas of colourful gardens, aromatic flowers, strategically placed large crystals , symbolic statues, ornamental decorations, random hammocks in hidden secluded spaces, all of this blissful environment hosting a beautifully appointed ‘Temple’ where our varied yoga practices were held.
Attending yoga master, Max Strom’s ‘Breathe into Wellbeing Retreat ’ was an absolute treat - his teachings are so accessible , practical and beneficial.
He is in my opinion a meliorist who works to bring people together, instilling a sense of ‘tribe’, a sense of belonging and being seen and heard.
Max is very clear in his lectures about promoting good ‘person to person’ communication and not allowing technology to dilute our humanness.
To say ‘I enjoyed the retreat’ is short on expression, I feel blessed and it has truly been an amazing opportunity to reflect, evaluate , connect and appreciate with like minded souls.
