As the year draws to a close, I just wanted to offer a quiet reminder.

This season doesn’t ask you to do more.
It asks you to soften.

To listen when your body whispers,
and to rest when it asks.

If your energy has been low, let that be information, not judgement.
Nothing is behind. Nothing is missed.

A 2-hour yoga retreat designed to calm, restore, and rebalance.

If you’ve been running on empty, living in your head, or feeling constantly “on”… this evening is for you.

The Pause is a gentle experience that blends yin yoga, yoga nidra and sound therapy to help shift the body out of stress mode and into deep rest.
Slow movement, long holds, guided rest and sound frequencies support the nervous system to down-regulate, the breath to deepen, and the body to begin repairing at a cellular level.

Research shows that deep rest practices can help reduce cortisol, improve sleep, calm the mind, and support immune and emotional health. Sound and vibration influence the vagus nerve, brain waves, and energy flow through the body helping you move out of fight-or-flight and into a state of restoration.

This is not about performance.
It’s about physiology.
And giving your system permission to reset.

People sometimes look at my life now and say -
“it’s alright for some.”
But what they don’t see are the years I spent in the dark, the severe chronic fatigue, the depression, the anxiety, the slow rebuilding of a life that once felt impossible to live.

Nothing about my journey was “easy.” My strength came from learning to rest, to listen, to find natural ways to heal, and to rebuild myself one tiny choice at a time.

So if you’re in a dark place right now, please don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s.

Strength can form in ways you might not recognise yet.

I’ve been there, and you can find your way through too…..and like a lotus, most of my growth happened quietly in the mud long before anyone could see it.

A 2-hour restorative retreat using Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Sound Therapy
If you’ve been feeling tired, wired, or constantly switched on… this evening is for you.

The Pause is a deeply restorative experience designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress physiology, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Through long-held yin and restorative poses, guided meditation, and therapeutic sound, the body is given time and space to shift out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-repair mode.

These practices are known to support improved sleep, emotional regulation, reduced anxiety, and nervous system resilience. Sound and vibration stimulate the vagus nerve, influence brain waves, and encourage cellular relaxation - creating the internal conditions for restoration and balance.

Happy 6th birthday to my precious angel, Ruby.
She puts so many smiles on my face and keeps me very much in the present moment.
Yesterday we had a gorgeous early morning walk in the beach, then she had a puppacino and an apple & blackberry slice. I had an amazing pistachio matcha late & raspberry bakewell slice.
Our Ruby met another boxer , Kaiser even more bouncy that her, then found a little elephant toy on the prom that we’ve brought home. May call it “Ganesha!” 😂
A perfect Sunday all round with Liverpool getting a much needed win and clean sheet! 😅

About me

A Yoga Teacher with a PhD in Metaphysical Science, Certified Holistic Life Coach & Spiritual Counsellor and Wellness Retreat Organiser, with over 500 hours of Yoga Alliance teacher training in India and Ibiza; including hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, yin, yin yang and aerial yoga.

Being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome 14 years ago, then PTSD, along with depression and anxiety left me unable to function leading me down the holistic route to get my health and ultimately, my life back; fuelling my passion for health and wellbeing, not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. Yin yoga was the missing piece of the jigsaw, due to its powerful healing benefits.

All this training and studying over the last few years has been my therapy and truly life changing, beyond belief! So I now want to share what has helped me so that I can help others and also educate people on stress management and the devastating effects it can have long term. By incorporating practical brain science and ancient wisdom, this integrated holistic approach has resulted in a substantial improvement to overall wellbeing and emotional balance, on a personal level and also with others, creating the much needed equilibrium for a quality life.

We cannot have a healthy body without a healthy mind. That is a scientific fact.
