In 2016 I trained as a Civil Celebrant after a long, wonderful career in secondary education.

I am a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and I conduct ceremonies throughout the North West and beyond. The death of a loved one is always a difficult time in any family’s life however, those feelings of sadness and loss can be someway alleviated by an end of life celebration that reflects the very essence of that person. The ceremony is guided by the wishes, values, and beliefs of both the family and their loved one.

Yesterday I had the honour of conducting a celebration of life event for Michael Craddock. It was a wonderful day, full of love, hope and the sharing of so many lovely memories.

The family even included one of Michael’s favourite songs ‘Barcelona’ by Freddy Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, which brought smiles to everyone in attendance including myself.

This was a truly bespoke event, and I’m glad that the family felt that I was able to capture those precious memories and paint such a vivid picture of Michael’s life.
