NHS Cheshire and Merseyside want to hear from you.

Are you experiencing palliative or end of life care? Or has a loved one experienced palliative or end of life care in the last two years?

Your feedback will help improve the quality, compassion, and consistency of care for people across our region.

There are three surveys available; for people currently receiving care, for their relatives and friends, and for those who have been bereaved.

The surveys are available to complete until 31 January 2026.

Take part here: eolp.co.uk/experience-survey

Healthwatch Wirral has published an update on the Government’s response on the future of Healthwatch.

This response matters because it affects how independent local Healthwatch services are, and how well people’s experiences of health and care are listened to and acted on.

You can read our summary and what it could mean locally here:

From Monday 15 December 2025 to Sunday 11 January 2026, walk-in services at Eastham Walk-in Centre will not be available.

During this time, staff will be working from the Urgent Treatment Centre at Arrowe Park Hospital and Victoria Central Walk-in Centre. This is part of temporary winter arrangements announced by Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Eastham Clinic will stay open and will continue to provide other NHS services, such as community nursing and therapy services. People needing urgent care will be directed to other local services, including Miriam Medical Centre.

If this change affects you, Healthwatch Wirral would like to hear about your experience.

Today is Carers Rights Day

Unpaid Carers play a vital role in Wirral – supporting family members, friends and neighbours with health, care and everyday needs.

We want to make sure Carers’ voices are heard and that local services understand the pressures Carers face.

We’ve published a short update about the day and why it matters locally.
You can read it here:
https://healthwatchwirral.co.uk/are-you-an-unpaid-carer-have-your-say/

If you are an unpaid carer, we would really value your feedback. We’re asking Carers to tell us about your experiences - and there’s a chance to win a £50 voucher too!

Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey and share your experiences.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M398Y5X

Your feedback helps highlight what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change to better support carers across Wirral.

If you know someone who is an Unpaid Carer, please share this post.

In recognition of Carer’s Rights Day, Healthwatch Wirral has designed a survey for unpaid carers to find out what is important to them in terms of healthcare and what else they may like information on. This survey is open to ALL unpaid carers in Wirral until midday 19th December 2025.
