We’ve noticed a rise in missed telephone appointments — 72 were not answered over the past three months.

Just a reminder: telephone appointments are still appointments. Kindly keep your phone nearby and ready to answer when we call.

Unable to get to the Surgery or would prefer a Telephone call with the GP?
We will happily offer these but please bear in mind they still count as an appointment.

From September 2025, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will begin sending digital results directly through the NHS App

How the new system will work:
➡️ Negative test results: Patients will receive their result as an NHS App message and notification.
(If the message is not read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe)
➡️ Abnormal test results: For now, these will continue to be communicated by post.

Patients are encouraged to download the NHS App and enable notifications to ensure they receive results promptly.

📢 We’ll soon be inviting eligible patients to book their vaccinations at the Surgery.

Please wait for your NHS App, text, or email notification with a booking link. Patients without this facility will be contacted by phone.

We’ll be offering multiple dates throughout October. With over 4,000 patients to book, we kindly encourage everyone who can to use the booking link. This helps keep phone lines free for those unable to book online.

‼️Changes to Covid Vaccination Eligibility Autumn 2025‼️

Flu Vaccination eligibility groups remain the same as previous years:
• Over 65s
• Pregnant women

If you believe you’re eligible but haven’t been invited, please contact us via eConsult and we’ll review your eligibility, and we can then send you a link to book your appointment.

Our clinics can be busy, so please walk or share a car if you can. Arrive on time, and wear short sleeves (with a jumper/coat if chilly) to help us keep things running smoothly for you all.

Last month, we had 444 patients DNA (Did Not Attend) their scheduled appointments at the Surgery.

Appointments at the Surgery are precious and whilst we understand things can come up, if you have an appointment and unable to attend, please remember to cancel your appointment so we can offer it to someone else.
