I’m Alan, your Slimming World Consultant and for over 12 months I’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting our local communities on their weight-loss journeys. In that time, my groups have lost over 600 stone in total, an incredible achievement that shows just what’s possible when support, motivation and belief come together. I’m passionate about creating a space where every single member feels welcome, valued and understood. The challenge is ON 🥗!

From 15th February to 7th March, we’re going all in on the joy of Food Optimising, generous plates, food you love and that brilliant feeling when things start falling into place.

Food Optimising 100% is about feeling motivated, supported and seeing results you might not have believed were possible.

I am so pleased to announce I am now taking over the morning sessions as well as continuing the afternoon sessions in Wallingford. So with this in mind, I thought I’d share a few facts about me so you can get to know me a little better as your Slimming World Consultant:

❤️ I am 46 years old. I have 2 beautiful boys, aged 16 and 14. I have a near 40kg fox red labrador called Barney, who takes me for a walk.

🎗 I joined Slimming World myself in 2019, and it completely transformed my life. I then got to my target weight, lockdown hit, and in early 2021 my life changed completely, I got diagnosed with Cancer. A tumour was found in my pancreas. I had a Whipple procedure to remove it and I am pleased to say 5 years later, I am cancer free.

3️⃣ I rejoined Slimming World in April 2024 in Wallingford and have lost 3 stone and and got back to my target weight in July of 2024

💭 I’m so passionate about helping others experience that same amazing feeling and have supported over 55 people in the last 12 months getting to their target dream weight. I run a number of other groups, Didcot Baptist Chruch on a Monday evening and Benson on a Thursday afternoon/evening.

🍛 My favourite Slimming World meal is Moroccan Lamb with Aubergine and Peppers, it’s so easy to make and feels like such a treat!

⚽️🎾 When I’m not at group, you’ll probably find me on the Tennis Court, watching my kids play football or listening to some country music

🙌 I love celebrating every success, no matter how big or small, they all deserve a big cheer (and maybe a happy cry)!

I can’t wait to get to know each of you better this year and help you smash your goals.
