If you suffer from back pain and are between 25 and 35, here are the top 3 books I recommend as a Chiropractor (the last one I recommend the most):

1) Ultra Processed People by Chris van Tulleken. The book delves into how the food industry has changed over the last 50 years and why we seem to have a food crisis everywhere we look!

2) 12 rules for life by Jordan Peterson. To me, a classic self-help book. It has helped a lot of people through a lot of tough times. If I think someone needs professional help, I will signpost them to where they can seek help.

3) The Back Mechanic by Stuart McGill. Dr McGill takes you through; the myths about back pain, how to assess yourself when it comes to your back pain, and finally the steps to increase the number of activities you can do without back pain.

Each of these books addresses a different bucket that we look at as Chiropractors. The Physical, The Mental, and The Chemical. I hope you can enjoy these books as much as I have.

I see this regularly with people locally in Wallington and Carshalton, so I thought it might be helpful to share.

A lot of people tell me they’ve just “learned to live with” ongoing back or neck tension, often without ever really looking into what’s causing it.

Sometimes clarity alone makes a huge difference.
Details are in the image below if this sounds like you.

We know how a long day at a desk can leave your neck and back feeling sore — I’ve put together three simple workstation tweaks you can try right now to feel better. 1) Raise your screen so the top third sits at eye level — less craning, more comfort. 2) Sit back into your chair with a small lumbar roll to support your lower spine — it’s like giving your back a little hug. 3) Take a 2-minute micro-break every hour to stand, stretch and reset your posture. These are quick, evidence-backed changes that fit into a busy workday in Wallington. Ready to try one today? Book a check-in with us: https://wix.to/zeyLSLc

We’re all sitting more than we’d like. Here are three five-minute fixes you can do at your desk in Sutton.

1) Raise your monitor so the top third is at eye level ▶️ less neck strain, lower spinal load.
2) Add lumbar support (small cushion or rolled towel) ▶️ helps the natural curves in your spine, eases lower-back pressure.
3) Tilt your keyboard slightly downward ▶️ keeps wrists neutral and reduces upper-back tension.

Try them today and tell us which one helped most, we’ll share more tweaks soon. https://wix.to/5HiZFaD

I’ve lost count of how many patients I’ve seen whose day-to-day aches started at their desk. Here are some small, practical changes:

👉 a properly adjusted chair
👉 a monitor at eye level
👉 a sensible keyboard position
👉 regular micro-breaks

These can make a huge difference to pain, focus and energy. Over the years I’ve found that pairing simple ergonomic fixes with regular chiropractic care helps people move from surviving the workday to actually enjoying it.

If you’re juggling deadlines, family life and everything in between, try this: spend one week adjusting your chair and monitor; the next week, sort your keyboard and mouse; then add short standing breaks. Little steps, big pay-off. Read more about ergonomic posture solutions and why they matter on the blog. 👇

Have you tried any of these changes yet? I’d love to hear what helped you.
