📣New NHS weight loss treatment UPDATE❗

A new weight loss treatment called Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) will start being used by the NHS from 23 June. But it won’t be offered in all GP practices or available straight away.

Only people who meet certain medical conditions will be able to get it - the criteria are very strict to start with. Please be patient while the NHS rolls out this treatment safely and fairly - Hadrian Health Centre are working with the regional NHS to plan how it will be provided locally.

📢 Important Update on Cervical Screening 📢
Starting this July, younger women aged 25 to 49 who test negative for HPV—meaning they’re at very low risk of cervical cancer over the next decade—will now be invited every 5 years instead of every 3.

This change is backed by strong clinical evidence showing that those without HPV are at very low risk of developing cervical cancer.
