Today is about...humming!🙂
Humming makes vibrations in our throat. The vibrations activate a nerve that carries signals from the brain to the body. This nerve, called the vagus nerve, helps us to soothe ourselves and calm our bodies after we've been in stressful situations, so we can better manage big feelings.
Some of the benefits include:stress reduction, improved breathing and potential cardiovascular advantages.
It can be a simple and accessible way to promote relaxation and well-being.
Here's a more detailed look at the benefits of humming:
1. Stress Reduction:
Humming activates the vagus nerve, which plays a key role in regulating the parasympathetic nervous system, associated with rest and relaxation. This can lead to a feeling of calm and reduced stress.
2. Improved Breathing:
Humming encourages nasal breathing, which can help improve posture, oxygenation, and overall breathing efficiency, according to Breathe First.
3. Cardiovascular Health:
Studies suggest humming can lower heart rate and increase heart rate variability (HRV), indicating a healthier and more responsive autonomic nervous system.
4. Increased Nitric Oxide:
Humming can boost levels of nitric oxide in the nasal passages, potentially improving blood flow and airway function, according to IFLScience.
5. Mood Enhancement:
Humming may contribute to a more positive mood and overall sense of well-being.
10 minutes/ 3 times a day
Happy humming!🙂

To all the loving husbands and children out there...

Did you know?

Mom rage is more than just irritability—it's an intense, unexpected, and overwhelming sense of anger that is often triggered by something small. This anger is typically based on a deeper, unmet need (such as feeling unsupported, alone, or lacking sleep) or emotions like frustration, sadness, and guilt.

This wife/ mom could do with more love, supporrt, words of affirmation, a small gift, flowers, a lovely note...be creative and make a difference! Make things right. Icecream, anyone?😍

Vitamin Sea, anyone?
Breathe in, hold, breathe out. Repeat.

Depression and heart disease have a complex relationship!
Did you know that you've got a " second heart' in your calf muscle? If you already knew, good for you, if you didn't, now you do🙂
What helps you prevent dangerous blood clots and DVT?
The calf muscle is often referred to as a "second heart" because it plays a vital role in the circulatory system, helping to return deoxygenated blood from the legs back to the heart.
Strengthen Your “Second Heart!
If you are at risk for Deep Vein Thrombosis, stay active! Walking, biking, and doing standing calf raises can help you prevent dangerous blood clots and DVT. The important thing is to get moving.
Exercise is gold.
Depression and heart disease have a complex, two-way relationship. Studies show that individuals experiencing depression are at a higher risk of developing heart disease, and those with heart conditions are also more likely to experience depression. This relationship is influenced by various factors, including lifestyle, stress, and the physical changes that occur in the body during depression.
Take care of your *hearts* and your mind will thank you.

DO NOTHING. REST.
Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that doing nothing means doing nothing for yourself.
That being "unproductive" is somehow a waste.

We've been trained to always be busy — to chase results, check boxes, track steps, and fill every minute. We've forgotten something vital: rest is not a luxury. It's a necessity.

Doing nothing is doing something — something deeply valuable. It’s recharging. It’s healing.
Sitting in the garden with coffee, flipping through a magazine, taking a long shower...
That’s not time wasted — that’s time invested.

We are not machines. We are not productivity robots.
We are human beings.
And sometimes, just being is exactly what we need.

Do you want to sleep better?
Do you want to reduce your anxiety levels?
When was the last time you went for a long walk?
Today is a good day to be outdoors.😍
There are studies that confirm the following:
People who live near parks and green space have less mental distress, are more physically active, and have longer life spans.
Exposure to nature may decrease death from chronic disease.
When people exercise outdoors in nature, they do so for longer periods of time and at greater intensities.
Positive health effects are enhanced when green space includes water.
Have a lovely day!

If you're married or are in a relationship, you might find this helpful.
Have you ever wondered why (some) people struggle in their marriage?
( Believe it or not, there are people who claim that their marriage is perfect. That is great news. However, if you are one of those people, then this message is not for you, sorry🙂)
Here are some common struggles:
*Communication Issues*
1. Lack of effective communication
2. Different communication styles
3. Unresolved conflicts
*Emotional Disconnection*
1. Feeling unheard or unvalidated
2. Emotional distance or disconnection
3. Lack of intimacy or affection
*Different Expectations*
1. Unrealistic expectations
2. Different values or priorities
3. Conflicting goals or visions
*External Pressures*
1. Financial stress
2. Work-life balance
3. Family or societal expectations
*Personal Issues*
1. Unresolved personal issues (e.g., trauma, insecurity)
2. Different coping mechanisms
3. Lack of personal growth or self-awareness
Some say that marriage is (like) a garden, others claim that marriage is an art. Do you agree? How would you describe marriage?
Here are some tips. Enjoy!
