Empowering the Next Generation with Life-Saving Skills!

Today, we had the privilege of delivering First Aid training to some brilliant young minds at Our Lady & St Chad Catholic Academy. It's always inspiring to see how First Aid training helps engage pupils and how eager they are to learn these essential life skills.

From CPR to dealing with minor injuries, the pupils showed fantastic energy and a real sense of responsibility. It's never too early to start learning how to help others in an emergency — and these students proved just that!

A huge thank you to the staff at Football Beyond Borders and the students for making us feel so welcome. We're proud to be part of a community that values safety, knowledge, and preparedness.

If your school is interested in First Aid training for students or staff, get in touch — we’d love to hear from you!

Teamwork That Saves Lives!

We recently had the pleasure of delivering an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course to an incredible group of professionals at Fulford Heath Golf Club — from the general manager and golf pros to hospitality and catering staff, as well as members of the ground staff.

Everyone got stuck in, building confidence to act in an emergency and learning vital, potentially life-saving skills.

It’s brilliant to be able to help another local golf club prepare for First Aid incidents and to see them investing in the safety and wellbeing of their staff, members and guests.

Thanks to everyone who took part — you were fantastic!

If your club needs advice or training please get in touch and see if we can help.

On we want to highlight the gender inequality in one particular life saving area. Gender disparities exist in the care received by women in out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). They are LESS likely to receive bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in comparison with men, this affects their chances of survival and survival to discharge with a good neurological function and quality of life. Correct Automated External Defibrillator pad placement is also LOWER in women than males. Education should look at addressing the way women are dealt with in OHCA. We need to do and be better for our Mother's, Daughters, Aunties, Cousins and female friends. We have recently invested in female manikins to help improve the quality of our training and help improve outcomes for women when they need it most.

First full day's training course after the break. Great day at a local golf course, with a mix of staff from the kitchen, hospitality and greenkeepers. All have different specific risks related to their roles and equipment they use, so an interesting day ensuring all their needs were met. It was a really enjoyable and successful day with all the staff passing with flying colours. If you or your organisation need any training please get in touch to see if we can help. ⛳

61% not confident to use a Defib is a scarily high number for use of an AED/Defib something that is a proven life saver.

Are you confident? Are you confident that your workforce would know what to do during a cardiac arrest? If you're not, watch this video and if you need to speak to us about face to face, regulated training, then please get in touch.

The Health and Safety Executive recently published an updated version of their document about 'Selecting a First Aid Training provider - A Guide for Employers' Whilst the changes are minimal, it does again highlight that regulated qualifications are a suitable choice for employers meaning that all aspects of due diligence required would be met and, that by choosing regulated training employers would meet all their responsibilities within the document. More importantly, it would help to provide a safer environment for all employees and service users.

If anybody needs help identifying what kind of training would be most appropriate for their workforce, themselves or for personal use, please feel free to drop us a line and we can discuss your needs.
