🤠🌵 Country & Western Day at Waters Edge! 🌵🤠

Yesterday, we brought a taste of the Wild West to Waters Edge Care Home with our fantastic Country & Western themed event!

Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live entertainment from Alexandra, whose performance had everyone singing along, clapping and tapping their feet.

Our team got into the spirit too, wearing checked shirts, denim and country-inspired outfits, helping to create a fun and lively atmosphere for all to enjoy.

It was a brilliant afternoon full of music, smiles and great company. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special for our residents.

As we welcome the New Year, everyone at Waters Edge Care Home would like to wish our residents, families, friends, and community a very Happy New Year.

Thank you for the trust and support you continue to place in us. It is a privilege to care for your loved ones and to share so many special moments together throughout the year.

🎄✨ Christmas Card Competition Winner Announced! ✨🎄

We’re delighted to share that the winner of the Alpha Health Care Christmas Card Competition is Thomas from Lower Farm Primary School 🎉 His wonderful, festive design will feature on our official Christmas card this year — and we can’t wait to send them out!

A huge well done to our brilliant runners-up, Ava and Sophie, also from Lower Farm Primary School. 👏💫

Thank you to all the talented children who took part and shared their creativity with us — your designs brought so much joy to our residents. And a special thank you to our wonderful residents who had the tough job of choosing the winner!

🐴💙 Therapy Donkeys Visit The Lakes 💙🐴
Yesterday afternoon, residents at Waters Edge Care Home enjoyed a truly magical experience as we welcomed the gentle therapy donkeys from Donkey EARS (Donkey Education and Relaxation in Staffordshire).

The donkeys brought so much joy, comfort and calm as they spent time with our residents – who loved the chance to stroke and connect with these beautiful animals. It was a wonderful way to end our month of fundraising and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society, as September is World Alzheimer’s Month.

Animal therapy is known to have incredible benefits for people living with dementia, from reducing stress to sparking conversation and creating special moments of connection – and yesterday was filled with all of these and more.

A heartfelt thank you to Donkey EARS for giving our residents such a memorable and uplifting afternoon. 🐾💙

🎶✨ Music Icon Day at Waters Edge! 🎤🌟

What an unforgettable day we had celebrating Music Icon Day here at Waters Edge!

Residents were treated to a fantastic live performance from the amazing Sarah Bright as Cher, dazzling us with her fabulous tribute show. With classic anthems, big energy and plenty of singalong moments, the home was filled with music, laughter and joy.

Staff joined in the fun too, dressing as their favourite music icons, rocking their band T-shirts and embracing colourful looks from across the decades. 🎶👩‍🎤🕺

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special – creating magical moments and wonderful memories for our residents. 💙
