We are professional podiatrists holding degrees in Podiatry from Aston University. We have 26 years of experience of diagnosing and treating all foot and ankle complaints. We specialise in ingrown toenails, removing corns and calluses, treatment of fungal nails, and diagnosing and treating all foot pain. Helen specialises in making custom made orthotic insoles and in diagnosis of plantar fasciitis, neuromas, and Achilles tendon issues. Neurological and circulation testing with diagnostic ultrasound is given for diabetic patients.

We have re-opened clinic and are booking appointments. We have screens in place and social distancing measures operating in the centre. We can also do home visits. Please give us a ring to book an appointment.

We are unable to offer any home visits or clinic appointments during this time, this is to protect everyone and prevent the spread of the virus. Please stay at home.

If you have a foot problem that requires emergency treatment, such as an infected wound or ingrowing toenail which is hot, red and swollen, please ring us on the number below and we can advise you.

Here at Aldridge Podiatry / Chiropody we are fully qualified HCPC Registered podiatrists with degrees in Podiatry who have been trained by and worked for 3 years in the NHS at many different NHS hospitals and clinics. We are experts in treating Diabetic patients, patients with other high risk conditions like poor blood supply to the feet, Peripheral Arterial Disease and patients with neuropathy. We work regularly treating the feet of patients with ulcerations or previous ulcerations taking the utmost care when working with high risk feet. We also have extra training in working those with dementia and mental ill health, and as former teachers we love working with children of all ages too. We offer a free ultrsound circulation check and neuropathy check for new patients and to any patient who is concerned about these, as part of our routine treatment. Problems with thickened or unsightly fungal nails? Here at Aldridge Podiatry / Chiropody we practice only evidence based medicine, so we do not offer treatments for which there is not good scientific evidence. This is the reason we do not offer laser treatment for fungal nails, as there is currently no clear evidence that this works effectively, but we do offer nail fenestration, a newer technique where small holes are made in the fungal nail which allow liquid anti-fungals to pe*****te. There is good evidence that this is the best current technique for eliminating fungal nails. Feel free to come and talk to us about the most effective treatments for you.

Apologies if you have tried to phone us and we have not been available to answer all the time this week. We closed the clinic to attend the funeral of our lovely Quaker friend Kate, whose wonderful sense of fun never left her, even in her 90's. We will all miss her making us laugh. ❤️

As a husband and wife partnership we thought we would post up an article about us meeting each other (30 years ago today) from Birmingham University Alumni Magazine. It was lovely that the Uni gave us the bench we sat on at our first date in 1988. This was a few years before we took our Podiatry degrees together.
