With temperatures on the rise, lots of people may be spending more time outdoors, but it’s important to remember the sun can be harmful.

An amber heat-health alert has been issued for the West Midlands via the Met Office.

The heat is likely to impact the health of vulnerable people - check on elderly family, neighbours, and friends to ensure they are coping during the hot weather.

If you feel unwell, dizzy, weak, anxious or have intense thirst, move to a cool place, rehydrate, and cool your body down.

KEEP IT HEALTHY PROGRAMME

Walsall Rehabilitation & Healthy Living Trust

Heart Care Healthy Living is a community based medical charity known for being pioneers in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. As advocates for healthy living, we now extend our efforts to support individuals who suffer with any risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis or are overweight.
This medically supervised exercise programme has been developed to improve general health and fitness. You can also attend our Tai chi classes.

This programme consists of 16 sessions at £2.50 per session. You can choose to do your 16 sessions in our gym or Tai-Chi classes or a combination of both. If you are interested in finding out more about this programme please call 01922 725050 or email Paul.Boden2@nhs.net

A yellow heat-health alert has been issued for the West Midlands via the Met Office.

Are you struggling with hay fever? Symptoms usually get worse in summer when pollen levels increase, especially when it's warm, humid, and windy.
