Yesterday’s The Two Counties Trust Careers Fair welcomed 10 schools and 1,000 students from the Nottingham and Derbyshire region. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our HGV Technician Apprenticeship Programme and to chat with students considering their next steps.

Volvo Trucks led the UK tractor unit market in 2025, climbing from third to first place on the back of strong FH Aero sales.

The manufacturer ended the calendar year with a 22% share of the articulated truck market, according to registration data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT). Congratulations to Joshua on being awarded apprentice of the quarter.

Rob Phillips (Depot Manager) said “Joshua consistently demonstrates an exceptional attitude towards both work and learning. Always punctual and fully engaged in every task, he sets a fantastic example for others. His willingness to go above and beyond—supporting colleagues when needed and getting involved wherever possible, clearly shows his dedication. Recently, our V24 apprentices were challenged to spend time working with the Customer Service Receptionist (CSR) team to gain a broader understanding of their responsibilities, Joshua rose to the challenge, showing genuine interest and enthusiasm for developing wider skills. This proactive approach highlights his commitment to learning and his support for the wider team.

Joshua’s mentor, Matt, has been a great source of support and will continue to challenge and encourage him throughout his learning journey.
