Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most joyful and widely celebrated festivals in India. Lighting Diyas and Candles 🕯️ to bring light and positivity into homes. We celebrated within our home that everyone joined in with the music 🎶 food and lights all around bringing happiness and joy to all. We also had our Baby Shower for Avneet who is due a baby girl soon 🌷congratulations. 🥂

Pumpkin carving and reminiscing about pumpkin pie 🥧 and soups ,the weight of pumpkins to being on allotments which this one was grown on since April till now ~ The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed over 2,700 pounds (1,200 kg)!

Last but not least our dancers during the wonderful performance from Darren Carpenter entertaining us with so many great songs of the past. Lots of participation by all residents today singing or dancing even tapping or clapping along means they are happy and enjoying themselves. Music and smiling can make it easier to cope with daily challenges and improve one’s outlook on life. 👏😁

Music from earlier decades often brings comfort, familiarity, and happiness whilst our residents enjoying the awesome Darren Carpenter performing for us this improves mood and memory and brings comfort to many with lots of smiles and happy faces.

We had a lovely afternoon with a brilliant singer Darren Carpenter filling our home with laughter , tears, dancing and singing 🎶 with our residents. From musicals and many films 🎥 brought back so many memories for all.
