We are excited to be getting ready for our first of 4 weeks Walsall HAF programs 🌟

Next week starting on the 28th July at 10.00 am till 14.00pm we start the first 4 day holiday club. 🌟

We have a trip to Ninja Warrior, VR, gaming on Playstation, Switch, arts and crafts amongst just a few of the activities on offer 🌟

All children will have a FREE hot lunch and drinks throughout the day 🌟

We are FULLY BOOKED for all events but have a cancellation list if you want your child to be added. 🌟

The HAF portal for Walsall is going live on the 26th June. Make sure your ready to book and check your child is registered with a HAF code as spaces go quickly!! We are offering 4 very different weeks with week 4:

🌟 We have 2 SEND Family sessions a day starting the 18th August.

🌟 18th August come and meet Dexter the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Arlo the Ankylosaurus from Meet the Dinos!!! This is a brand new event so make sure you get your place.

🌟 19th August is the wonderful Fizz Pop Science - Science Parties UK where we make small explosives and slime and putty

🌟 20th August is Foam Party!! Prepare to get a little bit wet

🌟 21st August is the amazing bubble show with the lovely Cosmic Faerie Face Painting, Bubbles & Balloons where Cosmic face paints while her assistant preforms a fantastic giant bubble show

You can choose a slot a day with either 10 till 12.00 or 1.00

🌟 There will also be table football, games, arts and crafts archery, axe throwing plus much more

🌟All children will be provided with a FREE meal and drinks throughout the day.

🌟Look out for the other posts with our other fantastic events!!

These events are FREE and kindly funded through Walsall HAF. Your child must be eligible for HAF.

🌟 A 4 day Youth and Gaming Holiday Club on the 11th 12th 13th and 14th August for ages 9 to 16.

🌟 Relax in our media Suite with XBOX Playstation, Nintendo Switch. You can play solo or against apponents on the wide screen.

🌟 Enter the world of VR or have a go at coding and 3D printing.

🌟 There will also be table football, games, archery, axe throwing plus much more

🌟All children will be provided with a FREE hot meal and drinks throughout the day.

We have a fun packed summer planned for you. Keep a look out for our exciting activities We have arranged!! 🌟

We are excited to let you know that we have been awarded a small grant from Food for Life commissioned by Walsall Public Heath Nourishing Communities 🎉

We plan to organise a FREE family workshop that will involve planting bulbs for winter and spring. Families can paint their own unique plant pot to plant a variety of bulbs. We will also be able to purchase more soil for our existing planters. 🥔 🌿

This is our first summer at Star Light where we have grown our own vegetables and sensory plants. We have grown strawberries, carrots, onions, celery, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes 🍓 🥕. Herbs have included coriander, sage, mint, basil and chive 🌿

Sensory plants have included angel wing, lavender, a variety of grasses, Heather's and reeds 🌿

We have not done this without help which has come from Walsall Public Health and the heritage fund 🎉. Plus the children who have helped plant and care for the plants 💦🐝 🐞

Keep your eyes peeled for a date when we will hold the gardening workshop ☀

The Coding and Gaming club we run each Saturday has sadly come to an end. The funding from West Midland Police has sadly ended but should it become available again we will let you know asap.

Thank you to all the families and young people that supported us and enjoyed coming making it a fantastic group 🌟

The community group Star Light Multi Care has received the Food for Life Nourishing Communities Award, recognising their work in making good food accessible to residents of Walsall.

🎊Appreciation Post!🎊

We want to say a big thank you to the Asda Foundation for the donation of £950.00 to purchase a pool table and screens for our gaming suite🎉

We were able to meet Matthew Bateman Community Champion to show him the work we do here at Star Light, but also hear about all the good work carried out by Asda on behalf of the local community. 🎉

We will keep you updated on the refurbishment of the gaming suite when we have purchased the items.🎉

We are proud to announce we are the first community providers in Walsall to be awarded the Food For Life's Nourishing Communities Award for all 4 pledges 🎉

We have evidenced that we cook, grow and share our skills with the community. We ran a adolescent nutrition program where young people cooked and grew vegetables and herbs. 🌿

We are starting HENRY workshops for families with children 0 to 5 🌟

We provide healthy meals to children who attend our Holiday Activity Program HAF 🌟

We teach young people who attend our Alternative Education Program to grow fruit and vegetables as part of their theraputic timetable 🍅

We are part of the supermarkets surplus scheme where we distribute food to the community 🌟

It's amazing to be recognised for the work we do which we will continue to do for as long as its needed 🌟
