🎄 This morning, we took a few of our lovely residents to Hall's Garden Centre, and it was such a festive outing! 🎅✨
We all got into the Christmas spirit browsing the beautiful decorations — twinkling lights, sparkling ornaments, and that unmistakable holiday magic in the air.

Afterwards, we popped into the café and enjoyed a nice hot drink together — the perfect way to warm up and share some smiles. ☕❤️

A big thank you to Hall's for such a welcoming and festive atmosphere. Let the Christmas countdown begin! 🎁🌟

Huge shout out to Dominique from ZooLab for gracing our crowd and bringing along her amazing collection of exotic animals today! 🐍🦎🐹

We met a stick insect who clearly skipped leg day, a scorpion with serious attitude, a millipede who brought 1,000 legs to the party, a corn snake who was suspiciously well-behaved, a leopard gecko that could easily win a staring contest, and the fluffiest VIP of them all – a very chill guinea pig. 🐸🐍🦂

Not only did we learn loads of cool facts, we even got to hold and stroke some of the animals (yes, including the snake – no one fainted, promise).

Thanks Dominique for a fun, fascinating, and slightly creepy-crawly afternoon – we loved every minute! 😁😁😁

🌿 Mental Health Day at The Hawthorns 🌿
Last Friday, we marked Mental Health Day with a simple but heartfelt gesture. 💚

We rolled around a special trolley filled with treats—cookies, a selection of pickles and cheeses, fruit juices, coconut prawns, melon, and more—to share with our wonderful residents and staff.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. A tasty snack, a friendly chat, and a shared smile can go a long way in lifting spirits and reminding each other that we’re all in this together.

Thank you to our amazing team for always going the extra mile, and to our residents for their warmth and joy. Let’s keep looking out for one another, not just on Mental Health Day, but every day. 💛

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”

Springwood Corner Care Home - Avery Collection, a brand-new 62-bed care home in Gravesend, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 11th September 2025 with a fun 1940s-themed event 🕺💃.

Over 200 guests, including Avery Healthcare executives, local residents, and community leaders, joined the celebration, featuring a plaque unveiling by Mayor Jenny Wallis, a red-carpet welcome, canapés, prosecco, live entertainment, and even a stilt walker! ✨
