Friends and family, our maintenance man John has had a very busy few days getting our garden summer ready, and it’s now looking really lovely.

Everything has been freshened up and is now incredibly welcoming, ready for our residents to enjoy some well deserved time outdoors.

Rhiannon is now planning lots of fun activities to encourage the residents outside, and we’re really looking forward to making the most of the sunshine together.

Do you have what it takes to put a smile on a resident’s face and are you looking for a new challenge this 2026?

Following the transition of many of our previous bank staff into contracted roles, we are now looking to recruit flexible BANK (zero hour) staff to join our team at Rushall Care Home.

We are currently seeking bank day and night carers who can support our residents with high-quality, person-centred care. In addition to care duties, there will also be opportunities to support our housekeeping and catering teams, helping to ensure the home runs smoothly and maintains a warm, welcoming environment for everyone.

Putting our residents’ needs first is central to our approach to care. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

🏠🏢Artistic License: Architecture 🏢🏠

Today we’ve had a look at man made marvels, feats of engineering and brilliant buildings.

An art form in its own right where form and function meet.

Today we looked at some famous buildings and man made structures, then had a go at building a tower with spaghetti and marshmallows, this ended as a bit of a competition between staff, students and resident teams 🤣

Today we’ve done portraits, made salt dough sculptures and watched a theatre show.

Our next artistic license day is Friday, keep your eyes peeled!

We had another lovely visit from Robin’s nest nursery, the children brought some home made play dough with them and we had lots of cuddles.

Our lovely Care Assistant Nik gets married this weekend!

We celebrated with a residents and staff bingo afternoon. We all wish Nik and hubby to be Marc the best of luck and happiness for their special day.

Wishing all our residents, families, friends and my hard working team a very Happy Easter.

Easter is a time of hope, renewal and new beginnings. It reminds us of kindness, compassion and looking out for one another, values we see every day in our wonderful home. Whether Easter holds a special meaning for you or is simply a time to enjoy good company, we hope your day is filled with warmth, smiles and a little bit of peace.

And of course… plenty of chocolate (strictly for medicinal purposes only, I’m told).
