Friends and family, we've had a year full of proud moments, shared milestones and plenty of reasons to smile.
January started on a high with our NAPA Award, which set the tone for the entire year ahead. We celebrated a very special “Welcome Home” as we marked our 10 year anniversary. Alongside wonderful personal moments across the team which included marriages and births. We have welcomed a mayoral visit, strengthened our commitment to inclusion through Pride, and were extremely proud to achieve Veteran Friendly Framework accreditation too.
We have shared equal highs and lows, successes and challenges. Each experience continues to shape who we are and strengthens our commitment to compassionate, person-centred care. We have warmly welcomed new residents into our home, while also remembering with care and respect those who are no longer living here with us.
Our home has been alive with entertainment and memorable themed events. Christmas celebrations recently went very well. Our theme Music Mayhem was a hit this year and next year’s theme will be revealed very soon, we’ve had some really successful fundraising days plus had meaningful resident days out during the summer months.
We have continued to value our intergenerational work, especially as our residents love this special time so much. As a training centre we have continued to welcome students from Walsall Academy, Walsall College, Nova Training, plus also supporting student nurses from the University of Wolverhampton, helping shape the future of care.
Most importantly, we continue to grow our community recognition, we continually drive ongoing quality improvement in house, yet always ensuring that our residents remain at the very heart of everything we do.
Thank you to our residents, families, staff and the wider community for being part of our Rushall journey. The best bits are never just behind us, bring on 2026!! Phil (General Manager)
