We’ll be joined by Essex Police, Waltham Abbey Town Council, the Town Partnership, Community First Responders and Community Champions.
It’s a great opportunity to share ideas, put forward suggestions and talk about how we can continue to improve and support Waltham Abbey together.
We’re really looking forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Last Friday I had the privilege and honour of looking after the funeral of a much loved husband, dad and friend to many. When I sat with the family to make the arrangements they had a few requests, one was that the colour of the funeral vehicles had to be black over burgundy, Jaguars or a Rolls Royce hearse. Both were not a problem and I was only too pleased to manage their request and with the help of my friends at Classic Hearse Hire, the request was met and these very beautiful vehicles were provided. Family were very very pleased.

Last Tuesday it was my privilege and honour to of looked after a much loved husband, dad and grandad, a local gentleman, who was a gentle man, from within our community who was a huge fan of the ‘80’s show Only Fools and Horses.Last year while arranging the funeral of his late brother he saw the photo of this hearse in my office and joked he would like it for himself, sadly, that day came sooner than thought and his family remembered his wish, and with the assistance of Darren from Only Fools & Hearses it was made to happen. Bob, you got your wish, may you rest in eternal peace and it was a pleasure to of known you🙏🏻

Today on our fifth day of the holiday we ventured out to another favourite village of ours to visit, the gorgeous Porthleven, lovely day which has been very warm and sunny again, had a lovely lunch and I had a cheeky pint of Rattler, which is a local cider and very refreshing, then back to the lodge for a dip in the hot tub. 😎

Our fourth day of the holiday and we visited the beautiful fishing port of Mevagissey, one of our places to visit, had a lovely lunch while we were there, and headed back stopping on the way to Healeys Cyder farm to pick up a few bottles of Rattler, then back to the lodge for time in the hot tub while it’s still warm, been 16c all day and sunny.

Since becoming the Deputy Mayor of Waltham Abbey, I have had the privilege and honour of supporting our Mayor on a couple of engagements this weekend, we started off with opening the Art Trail in the town on Saturday morning, then joining our wonderful German guests from our twinned town of Hoerstel at a Barn Dance in the evening and then to a Church service in our beautiful Parish Church on Sunday morning.
