Specialising in both the prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries through the use of sports massage and exercise. I am a qualified BSc (Hons) Sports Therapist that provides a mobile service specialising in sports massage, injury assessment and injury rehabilitation. Not all injuries are obtained during sport, Stiffness, aches and pains can be caused through any daily activities. I provide a treatment that aims to not only make clients pain free but to also enable clients to better themselves by providing the knowledge they need to manage and prevent recurring injuries. Each session will start with a postural assessment, palpation and special tests to find the source of the problem. With each treatment aftercare and advice will be provided to give the client the best recovery and the tools needed to keep improving. Sessions can include;
Postural Analysis, Injury Assessment, Injury Treatment, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Advanced Stretching, Rehabilitation, Strapping & Taping. Price:
60 minutes – Β£50
90 minutes – Β£75

The areas that I cover are Hertfordshire, and Essex

After any workout one of the best things you can do is stretch. Here is some of my stretching routine from today.

Stretching has many benefits such as:

1. Boosting your energy ⚑ - While stretching, the body cools down, the brain releases endorphins, a natural and healthy chemical triggering a positive feeling. After a good post-workout stretch, you’ll be energized and ready to meet any challenge.

2. Reduced risk of injuries πŸ€• - If your muscles remain tight after a workout, it increases your risk of injury. Stretching helps to minimize your predisposition to an injury.

3. Reduce heart rate ❀️ - The heart rate can be reduced to normaility during streching.

4. Removal of waste πŸ—‘οΈ - Stretching helps to break down the build up of lactic acid that has been produced during exercise.

These are just some of the benefits that come from stretching after exercise.

Most of us have not trained with heavy weights for atleast four months, which means going back to the gym will be like starting all over again!

If you jump straight back in to your old routine, it is highly likely an injury will occur as the body is just not ready for that intensity.

There are some simple things you can do to reduce risk and get you back to normality.

1. Take time to warm up before you do any lifting. This helps to allow the joints to move smoothly during your workout.

2. Start light and build your weight up from one session to the next. This allows your body to get used to the weights again and reduce risk of injury.

3. Focus on form. By taking more time to focus on your form you will activate the correct muscle's evenly. Stay at lighter weights and take more time. This will allow you to get your weights back up much quicker and your session more efficient.

4. Don't over do it. As well as the weight, slowly build up the amount of exercises in your session to help reduce the chance of injury.

5. Cool down after the session to help reduce your heart rate, normalise breathing, promoting relaxation.

6. Most important ENJOY YOURSELF! Training should be fun and challenging. Set yourself new targets and go for it!

It’s finally here! I’m back!

As of today I will be restarting treatment. I will be booking in appointments from now, so if you would like to book in get in touch! I will be in contact with everyone that had to cancel their appointments due to Covid-19 and with all that have already been In touch.

There will be some slight changes for the sessions to keep to the new regulations and to keep everyone safe.

I will be posting my Covid-19 procedures and protocols on here, so please keep an eye out. I look forward to seeing you all and finding out what you have been up to during this hard time.

Covid-19 rules of treatment

To make each session run smoothly there will be a few rules to follow

1. An assessment form will need to be filled out and sent back before the face to face session.

2. Before my arrival you must shower.

3. On arrival your temperature will be taken and recorded. If your temperature is higher than 37.7degrees we will need to reschedule the appointment.

4. All doors must be opened and closed by you

5. To reduce risk further you will need to provide one large towel and two small towels for treatment.

6. I will be wearing full PPE during the session which will include gloves, apron, face mask and visor.

7. For any treatment where you will be facing up a face mask will need to be worn.

8. For payment, money should be placed in an envelope or sealable bag and placed on the side before the session.

9. Before the session If you have any symptoms or have been in contact with someone in regards to Covid-19 you must get in contact immediately.

10. I will bring a small plastic bag, to properly contain and dispose of PPE. I would kindly ask that you dispose of this to prevent routes of contamination in my car and to other clients.
