Adelaide House was filled with excitement as residents welcomed a very special guest — Henrietta and Gizmo(Our guest Owls)! As part of our Owl Adventure day, residents had the opportunity to meet this majestic bird up close, sparking awe and priceless smiles throughout the home.
Residents and staff were truly captivated during our recent Owl Adventure, especially when they had the chance to handle and pet them! The majestic birds brought a sense of wonder and excitement to the home, with everyone in awe of its beauty and calm presence.
Seeing the owl in action brought the experience in a truly magical way. Smiles, laughter, and wonder filled the room — a perfect reminder of the joy that nature and shared experiences can bring.

🎉 🍒National Lottery Day – Adelaide House Style! 🍒 🍬



Who needs a Lottery ticket when you’ve got laughter, chocolates, and a Human Candy Machine? At Adelaide House, we gave National Lottery Day a fabulous twist—turning it into a day of pure joy, playful surprises, and sweet treats!

Our very own Human Candy Machine the star of the show, with staff and residents stepping in as the spinning reels! Each “ring the bell” brought bursts of laughter, cheers, and sweet Laughters. It was a hilarious and heartwarming way to get everyone involved and moving.

And what’s a celebration without a little indulgence? A basket overflowing with treats and candy added that extra sparkle, making sure everyone felt like a winner—no ticket required!

This wasn’t just a celebration—it was a reminder that the real jackpot is the happiness we share together. At Adelaide House, we don’t just play games—we create memories.

Today, 26 August 2025 we celebrated International Dog Day in Adelaide House and invited Dogs and dog owners to take part in this paw-sitive time of togetherness , we take this special opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to everybody joined us today specially Gracie(therapy dog), Lucky( resident's dog) and Bluey (Stuffed husky Toy) and to the wonderful therapy dog (Smithy) who visit us regularly at Adelaide House.
These gentle companions bring more than just wagging tails and warm cuddles—they bring joy, comfort, and a sense of calm that touches the hearts of residents and staff in Adelaide House.
Their presence lights up our home, offering emotional support and companionship that is truly priceless.
Whether it's a quiet moment of connection or a cheerful visit that lifts spirits, our therapy dogs play an essential role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents.
We are deeply grateful to the dedicated handlers( Amelia and Janet) and volunteers who make these visits possible. Your kindness and commitment help create meaningful moments that are cherished by all.
Today, we celebrate not only the dogs themselves but the incredible bond they share with us. Thank you for being part of our community and for making a difference—one paw at a time.

🌟🎉“You don’t stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing.”🌟🎉

The Summer Fair was a celebration of joy, community, and togetherness—proof that games under the sun are truly timeless. Families cheered each other on, staff joined in the excitement, and the atmosphere was filled with smiles and sunshine.
It was a beautiful reminder that no matter our age, we all love to play, laugh, and connect. From "Guess the weight of the cake", the all time favourite "Tombola" and the star of the day "The human fruit machine "a splash of fun for all ages.

:🎉🎉Rah Rah is on the heat with Abba's Greatest hit!🎉🎉

Rah Rah Theatre company gave us a heartfelt and powerful performance, with voices that moved the crowd and brought familiar songs to life.
The acting was totally impressive—full of emotion, humour, and charm, drawing everyone into the stories being told. And the entertainment?
Absolutely delightful! From lively dance routines to surprise comedy moments, every part of the performance kept smiles on audience faces.
This performance reminded us of the joy that comes from sharing creativity and expression. It brought families, staff, and residents together in laughter, applause, and admiration.

Adelaide summer fair was a joyful celebration filled with sunshine, laughter, and togetherness. Families and staff came together to enjoy a day packed with fun activities, delicious treats, and vibrant entertainment. From various games to music and dancing, every moment was full of smiles and excitement.

Children played happily, staff joined in the fun, and families shared special memories that will last a lifetime. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying themselves, connecting, and celebrating the spirit of community.

As one lovely quote says, “The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been, and the memories we’ve made along the way.” The summer fair was a perfect illustration of that.
