What a wonderful morning for our lovely residents, being entertained by such a brilliant Elvis impersonator (David)! We had such a blast!

We even had some residents' family members join for the show. Everyone was smiling. 🙂

When Elvis left the building, residents were already saying that they want him to come back to perform again soon! 🎵

This morning, we were delighted to welcome back the wonderful pupils and staff from Ashley Park School for their final visit before the summer break!
Their regular visits have brought so much joy to our residents, and we’re incredibly grateful for their time and kindness.

Wishing them all a fun-filled and restful holiday — we can’t wait to see you again in September! 💛🌼

A little round-up from recent days at Adelaide House – a real mixed bag of sunshine, smiles, and self-care!

Our residents and staff have been keeping cool and staying well hydrated during the heatwave. Teresa was delighted with the sun hat Bronwyn made for Ted during arts and crafts – stylish and sun-safe! 😎

Jan’s keeping it breezy with her mini desk fan (and let’s take a moment to appreciate her perfect colour coordination 💚). Meanwhile, Eric treated himself to a relaxing foot spa – just what the warm weather calls for! 🌼

Close game of Scrabble between Linda and Bron but ultimately, Linda took the win!
This was a good warm up ahead of some of this afternoon's group activities that will include Wordle and Hangman.
Word games continue to be a firm favourite in our home, as our residents continue to teach our staff a variety of new words daily.
There is always a dictionary close by, should Bron feel brave enough challenge this!😄Educational and fun!

Eric, Linda, and Yvonne couldn’t resist the sunshine, so we transformed our beautiful garden into a fun-filled zone with games and music!

There was laughter, movement, and plenty of cheering, the perfect ingredients for a joyful afternoon spent together. 💜

Walton-on-Thames care home enjoys ‘The Big Summer Weekender’ with local community

Adelaide House Care Home, run by HC-One, located in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, welcomed visitors and guests from the local community to participate in this year’s Care Home Open Week celebrations, held from Monday 16th June until Sunday 22nd June 2025.

What a fantastic start to our Open Day at Adelaide House!

We kicked off the morning with a wonderful visit from the students and staff of Ashley Park School – always a joy for our residents!

The energy continued with a fabulous "Rock Around the Clock" performance by the talented Rah Rah Theatre Company – every moment was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
We're already looking forward to welcoming them back in August for their ABBA special: Thank You for the Music 🎶

Lunchtime was a real treat too, with a delicious spread lovingly prepared by our amazing kitchen team. And of course, Pimms and Lemonade were the perfect refreshment on this sunny day! ☀️🍹
