Vine Harvest Full Moon & Total Lunar Eclipse ✨
This Sunday, 7th September at 19:08 (UK time), we welcome the Vine Harvest Full Moon 🌕 — which also happens to be a Total Lunar Eclipse, lasting an incredible 82 minutes.
🌾 Known as the Harvest Moon, this is the Full Moon closest to the Autumn Equinox. Traditionally, its light helped farmers gather crops late into the night. Spiritually, it symbolises abundance, gratitude, and completion — a time to celebrate your achievements and release what no longer serves.

According to ancient lore, this is the day Tehuti ordered the healing of the Eye of Heru (Horus)—a symbol of restored balance and spiritual protection.

🌟 Three Festivals of Light – 12th–15th August 🌟
Over the coming days, cultures across the world mark the mid-August period with celebrations of light, nature, and ancestral honour.
🕯 Tuesday 12th August – Day of the Light of Aset (Isis)
In Ancient Egypt, this day honoured the Divine Mother with sunlight by day and candlelight by night. The Bride of the Nile was set adrift in a sacred river ceremony to bless fertility and renewal.
🌕 Wednesday 13th August – Roman Festival of Diana
Goddess of the hunt, moon, and oak groves, Diana symbolised purity, independence, and sacred feminine power.
🏮 13th–15th August – Obon Festival (Japan)
A Buddhist celebration honouring ancestors through lanterns, bonfires, food, and dance – guiding spirits home with love and light.
From Egypt’s riverbanks to Rome’s oak groves and Japan’s lantern-lit nights, light has always been a bridge between worlds. ✨

🌾✨ Lammas & Egyptian New Year – 1st August ✨🌾

Today marks two ancient seasonal celebrations from opposite ends of the ancient world – both honouring transformation, fertility, and divine alignment.

🌕 In the Celtic calendar, it’s Lammas (or Lughnasadh) – the Festival of First Harvest, dedicated to Lugh, the radiant Sun King. A time of ripening grain, gratitude, and gathering in community.

🌟 In Ancient Egypt, 1st August heralded the New Year, aligned with the heliacal rising of Sirius (Sopdet) – symbolising the tears of Aset (Isis) and the life-giving Nile flood.

Both festivals remind us of our sacred connection to Earth and Sky, to the cycles of growth, death, and rebirth 🌱🔁🌌
