Home Instead is no run-of-the-mill, rush in-rush out domiciliary care agency. It is about making their day better and about simple, human communication and contact. It is about monitoring and supporting, noting change or progression of need and acting appropriately. Providing care should be about genuinely caring, and at our company, it is. We employ local people, thoroughly vetted and properly tr
ained, to look after our clients according to their wishes, and to the highest standard possible. We do not enter into local authority contracts, where lip service is paid towards dignity and person-centred care, with contracts then awarded to the lowest bidders. We speak directly with those arranging care for themselves, friends or their loved ones then actually deliver a holistic service through flexible, reliable, timely and truly compassionate care planning, always carried out in a properly consultative manner, always with a client's dignity and sensibilities in mind. With a key worker system, electronically monitored logging in and out, client/caregiver matching and introductions and fully insured caregivers who can encourage, stimulate and assist our clients to live a better and more fulfilled life, we want our clients to remain well and independent at home for as long as possible. All support is bespoke and individually planned for each client. Visits are not rushed because Home Instead understands the importance of supporting clients socially as well as getting the necessary tasks done. Their staff will never rush-in or rush-out and will always find ways to help if a job is completed and there is time left for other things. Our services include assistance with shopping trips, companionship, escorting to appointments or social engagements as well as home help, meal preparation, personal care, support with medication and much, much more. Care Professionals are selected for their compassion and their empathy, and many have looked after older family members who needed support due to frailty or having to live with some form of dementia. Such experiences can be life-changing and Home Instead’s care professionals work with a real sense of vocation. Because its care professionals enjoy the rewarding care they provide, they tend to stay with Home Instead longer than most stay with other services. That helps provide continuity of care through the office’s key-worker scheme which means the client sees the same care Professional each day or week, forming a bond and friendship which is often at least as important as the tasks they help with. All Home Instead’s care professionals are thoroughly screened and six references taken. Each undergoes rigorous training both before they visit their first client and then on an ongoing basis to keep their range of skills current. Sometimes they may care for an individual who lives with a particular condition that requires specialist training which the office will arrange. Our care professionals are our most important asset and they make Home Instead the quality service it is.
