Tomorrow. Clay. Make something with your hands.

Dee Noble's running a Play with Clay workshop on Saturday 7th February, 10am-12pm. You'll learn pinch techniques to make thumb pots, then explore how to turn multiple pots into animals. It's tactile, surprisingly meditative, and genuinely satisfying.

No experience necessary – Dee guides you through each step. Whether you've never touched clay before or you're looking to try something new this weekend, this is a good way to spend a Saturday morning.

You'll leave with something you actually made, plus the knowledge of basic ceramic techniques you can use again.

Tomei's back with another workshop – this time focusing on animal portraits. You'll work with professional polychromo pencils, building layers and colour to create something vibrant and detailed.

The workshop moves at a pace that works for everyone, whether you're new to coloured pencils or already familiar with the medium. Duffy guides you through the process step by step.

Simply Sketching. Same day, afternoon session.

Duffy Tomei's running a second workshop on Thursday 12th February, 1.30pm-4pm – this time, portrait sketching with a focus on the semi-profile view.

This workshop is designed for people who've been curious about portrait drawing but haven't quite taken the plunge yet. Duffy takes things step by step, showing you how to approach proportions, angles, and the character that makes faces interesting to sketch.

Beginners absolutely welcome – no previous drawing experience necessary. If you can hold a pencil, you can do this workshop.

Dee Noble's running a Play with Clay series starting in February – a chance to get your hands dirty and learn basic ceramic techniques over four workshops. Each session focuses on a different method, so you can attend one or all four depending on what appeals to you.

No experience necessary – just show up and make something with your hands.

The series:
Week 1 - Saturday 7 February, 10am-12.30pm Using pinching, make a pot, bird or animal
Week 2 - Saturday 14 February, 10am-12.30pm Use coiling to make a bowl or small vase
Week 3 - Saturday 7 March, 10am-12.30pm Make a bird or pot using slab building
Week 4 - Saturday 4 April, 10am-12.30pm Open session – practice your new skills or work on your own project

No pressure, no experience needed. Just turn up, have a go, and see what you create.

It's 60 minutes in a heated space—you'll stretch further than usual, your body will thank you for it, and you'll leave feeling properly reset for the weekend.

What to expect: Increased flexibility, better sleep, stronger muscles, and that post-yoga clarity that makes everything feel a bit more manageable. You'll burn around 300 calories, but really it's about taking an hour for yourself.

Bring a towel and plenty of water.
